Bad support, old product

LifeKey doesn’t apparently function with iPhone 17 or iOS 26. Requested refund and they ghosted me.

Doesn’t work

Don’t bother trying or giving your info to this. It will not scan out medical info on someone else’s device and stuck on a page asking location permission. Very poorly executed concept.

Charged??

I was charged $13.97 when I was trying to install the app so I could get my dogs tag set up. Everywhere online says the app is free but I couldn’t install without putting payment info in. Why???

Worst app don’t get

Horrible product doesn’t let you log in after you have logged out and doesn’t let you add two phone numbers to manage the product if I could rate lower then a 1 I would

Can’t actually connect

Honestly I’d like to give this a good review but I can’t if I can’t even use the product, when you scan it, it takes you to a website that says activate, then when you click it it brings you to the App Store to download the app, you make an account then click a “add device” icon that tells you to scan it and click an option but it just brings you to the first website!! It just puts you in a loop and doesn’t let you actually connect or use it.

App does not work

No matter how many times I tap the tag to my phone while in the app, it does not show up in the app to allow me to select and register the tag. It makes me open the web page which then brings me to download the app (that I already have downloaded) and then open the app to repeat the process. Waste of money!!

Horrible app

If you’re going to have an app based device, HAVE AN APP THAT WORKS

Won’t Accept Emergency Contact Phone

The app won’t accept my emergency contact phone number. I fill in the field, but clicking the check mark doesn’t do anything. All the other fields are filled in. One of the main reasons for the Smart Strap is to contact someone in case of emergency!

Awkward interfaces hamper promising tech

While the underlying system is pretty cool, neither the app nor the Fetch tag is easy to use. The tag bears markings that vaguely suggest to tap it, but unless you already know what they mean those marks are pretty cryptic. Further, the way the tag’s configured to hang on a ring is opposed to the way other dog tags hang. Sandwiching them isn’t possible and (I learned the hard way) modifying this one bricks it. A warning might have helped. The app comes without instructions so navigating the profile setup(s) is clunky, as is connecting a dog’s to his person’s. Even scans by the app’s registered user display as anonymous.

I was able to capture two taps before killing mine, so can say that if the tag’s finder can figure out what to do (and if their phone supports it), the mapping and contact sharing work as hoped.

Regrettably, within three days mine was downgraded to a $25 tag silencer.

Design improvements across the user experience could take Fetch from Meh to Wow.

Cool Idea Hard to work app

Cool idea but the app is horrible. Cannot find a way to edit data. I have two dogs but could not find the way to enter the other dog once first one was entered.

Hi there 👋 We're happy to help you with this. Jump on our support page on the website and we can walk you through it! https://support.lifekey.co

Makes me feel at ease

My sweet boy never get out of the yard but if he does I know he will have all his info so that whoever finds him will be able to contact us. I like also the fact the app tells me the second his tag is scanned/tapped and where it was tapped. I would highly recommended this for you fur baby.

I WOULD BE DEAD

I have specifically tagged my profile to NOT require approval to view my medical history, yet it requires approval each time I demonstrate the TAP with friends and/or family.

If each demonstration were an actual emergency, I would be dead.

I deleted and reinstalled the app, it did not fix the issue.

I wanted to LOVE this product but I'll be seeking a refund.

You can put the things you don't want private on the public profile. The rest can require permission to access. It's just a setting in the app. Happy to walk you through the basics! Just jump on our support page when convenient: https://support.lifekey.co

Does not work with my ImmunaBand

Hopefully someday it will be compatible.

Bummer- not sure what that is, but would appreciate a fair review of our app. :/

Misleading pet tag

Although in theory this would be an extra cool way to help someone get your pet back to you, the pet tag is labeled usetap.app, which takes you nowhere, doesn’t exist. If you type it into App Store, nothing matches, however kifekey does show up as one of the suggestions in the search, but It’s not clear from the tag or the search that “usetap.app” is related to lifekey at all.

Hi there 👋 usetap.app is a url (website) not an app. You don't need an app to scan Fetch tags, only to set one up if you own it.

Peace of mind in a quiet, comfortable device

A wearable that doesn’t need charging or a constant connection. This is the future of tech - it does only what you need it to and otherwise gets out of the way! Can’t wait to watch Lifekey evolve!!

Good theory, fail in performance

The theory is great, but the practical application is a fail. Feels worse than an alpha version. Going to toss the bands in the trash and stop wasting time trying to make heads or tails of this.

Great product, ok app

It would be hard to review the app without mentioning the product, so I’ll start by saying the product itself (we have the bracelets) is awesome! What a great idea! Due to a severe nickel allergy, I have a hard time wearing standard medical ID bracelets, so this fabric one rocks. If they can get the word out to EMS around the country (my husband is working on it here in Albuquerque), even better.

Now the app.... It’s not a bad app, but instructions would be nice. It’s taken a bit to figure out how to do some things in it, and there is no resource for when you get stuck. Also, the space for medical information is TINY! I have several medical conditions, and I had a very difficult time fitting my conditions and meds into such a small space. The other complaint I have is that the family notification doesn’t work. I scanned my son’s bracelet, and my husband and I each received the notification that it had been scanned. Tapping on the notification, however, didn’t do anything except make it disappear. Even going into the app didn’t result in further info.

If these issues could be fixed, this would be an outstanding app!
