About

Lifting is a log of what you lifted. That is the whole app. Every lifting app in the store is a funnel. The log — the only part anyone needs — is the bait for a programme subscription, a macro tracker, a feed, or a notification telling you that you have not trained in three days. This one is the log, by itself, and it stops there. LOG A SET IN SECONDS Type the exercise and the weight, mark the reps, done. Lifts you have logged before are offered as you type, with the weight you last used already filled in. "Add set" repeats the last one. REPS THAT TELL THE TRUTH Tap a number once and it goes green: you made that many. Tap it again and it goes red: that is the rep you failed on. "Did 8" and "failed at 8" are different sets, and next week you will want to know which it was. WHAT IS THAT MACHINE FOR? More than fifty pieces of standard gym equipment, each with a body map, front and back, showing the muscles it works: the ones the lift is built around, and the ones that help. Pick the ones you plan to use and they wait on today's page. TWO MACHINES, ONE NAME A chest press that rocks with the handles and one with a fixed seat go by the same name, and the same number on the stack is a very different effort. Logged as one lift, changing machines looks like losing strength. So the app tells them apart: chest and shoulder presses come in two kinds, you say which is yours by what you can see on the machine, and each keeps its own history. YOUR GYM'S PRODUCT LINE Many gyms run two lines from one maker, and both have a leg press. Filter the equipment list to one product line (Hoist ROC-IT, Hoist Club Line, Life Fitness, Hammer Strength, Precor, Cybex) or browse by vendor, and today's list says which line each machine is from. The manufacturers' names are theirs and are used only so you can find the machine in front of you. This app has no connection to any of them. WHAT YOU DID LAST TIME Under the lift is your previous session, read back from your own log. It is recall, not advice. The app never tells you what to load. GOALS YOU SET YOURSELF Three sets of eight, or whatever you choose. A day goes green when you meet it. No streaks, no badges, no "you missed a day". TWO HONEST CHARTS Top set per session, and weight moved per session — as two charts, because two scales on one chart is how a chart lies. A session with unmeasured sets is drawn as an outline and says so. FIX THE RECORD Every set can be edited, moved to another day, or deleted — and a delete can be undone. YOUR DATA IS A FILE YOU CAN HOLD Save the whole log as one file, anywhere you like, and add a passphrase if you want it locked. Restoring only ever adds: it never overwrites or deletes what is already there. Any day's stored text is one tap away, exactly as it is kept. BUILT NOT TO SEE YOU • No account. Nothing to sign up for. • No server. The log is on your phone and nowhere else. • No analytics, no crash reporting, no ads. • No network code at all — there is nothing in the app that could send your data anywhere. LIFT WITH SOMEONE Put a session in your calendar or send it to a friend. The app hands the plan to your calendar or your messages and you finish it there; it sends nothing itself. What's New in Lifting by ez2bg

1.1.0

October 12, 2026

Two machines, one name, and now the log can tell them apart. - Chest press and shoulder press come in two kinds: a rocking seat that lets the whole body take part, and a fixed one. The same number on the stack is a very different effort, so each kind keeps its own history and changing machines no longer looks like losing strength. Say which is yours on the machine's page. - Filter the equipment list by product line (Hoist ROC-IT, Hoist Club Line, Life Fitness, Hammer Strength, Precor, Cybex), or browse by vendor. Your choice is remembered. - Today's list now says which product line each machine is from, for gyms that have two lines of the same machine. - Fix a set's weight right in its panel, without opening the full editor. - The launch animation no longer clips the plates at the top of the press.
