Edit: New review

I’m writing a second review because everything I had an issue with has been fixed, which I am very grateful for! I can actually play the game now and make progress now that the giant zombies have been nerfed! And the stars being banked regardless of win or lose is a game changer. The app is now a fantastic way to relive the classic experience, and I want to say thank you to the developer for listening to the feedback and pumping out the updates as fast as they can. This game is awesome!

Your feedback is greatly appreciate, thank you! Your concerns help shape the future of the game, and I'm happy to take into consideration all issues brought forth by players. Campaign 1 has been adjusted for difficulty, including greatly reducing the health of the heavy zombies as well as reducing their numbers per wave to make it much more manageable, and instead replacing them with smaller zombies to keep the pace of the later rounds. Additionally, the zombies in campaign 1 have had their health reduced to be more in line with the learning curve involved in the game (no more heavy zombies getting knocked down and getting back up 4-5 times). There are no longer a handful of un-grabbable zombies remaining without an answer for them. We've also implemented star accumulation on levels that were lost as well so that players can purchase upgrades with the stars earned, even if they're stuck on a level. As far as your other concerns, we've added level won and level lost musical sound effects, the ability to skip the slo-mo kill cam event, and various other improvements including the ability to modify sandbox gameplay, added attack sound effects to the zombies, and various other improvements/bug fixes. Again, your feedback is greatly appreciated, and it will help future players enjoy the game much more!

I remember the OG zombie smash came out in 2010! I was in 8th grade and it was the most fun game ever. I was so sad that it was taken off and I would check every once in a blue moon. Never giving up hope. Earlier this week I go onto the App Store and see the same zombie type style as the icon and I jumped up immediately out of my seat. It’s just as good as I remember, a few little glitches, some zombies are really strong for some missions, but overall just so fun to get back to it.
Thank you!

Thanks for your feedback! The difficulty of normal mode is the main concern right now and the item unlocks and difficulties are being adjusted so people can enjoy the full campaign without the frustration of getting stuck on levels and having to rely on item RNG. Many more gameplay improvements to come as well!

Ai slop

It’s one of those games where it gets stupidly hard just so you spend money. Enemies are way more tankyer and the power up pick ups have weird spawn times. The house health meter drains constantly when your house is getting attacked rather than drains with each zombie hitting the house. It’s as if the zombies are sucking the life out of the house rather than hitting it. A disgrace to the classic. Full of AI slop. Just a cash grab taking advantage of peoples nostalgia.

Thanks for your feedback. The issues mentioned are bugs from the initial release and are not meant to require players to spend money. A hot fix was released yesterday to greatly reduce the tanky zombies in earlier levels from around 10 down to 1-2 to make it much more manageable whiling a player is still learning the game. The next version, which should be released in a few days will show the health meter only take damage when a zombie actually swings to hit it instead of having a constant drain for all zombies near it giving it much better visual feedback. At no point from the beginning to end of the game are users expected to pay money to progress or to unlock game modes, items, upgrades, or other perks - The issues mentioned were just bugs from the first public release. The game is meant to be more of a fan tribute and not a cash grab, which is also the reason why the game is free with no ads. Really sorry for the issues, and I'm working quickly to resolve them as they come up!
