Line 2 is Awesome!

My name is Pierre. I just switched from
Nextiva, to Line 2 3 days ago. Line2 is an infinitely better service. Their customer service is 10 Stars. I have nothing but praise for Line2. You should definitely gove them your business

Censorship

Too much inaccurate censorship

Terrible Customer Service

Don’t upgrade your IPhone or loose your screen name. Their system doesn’t retain enough information to help you log back on. Yet, they’ll charge you anyway

Will not receive calls on iPad

Nice concept, a VOIP app for iOS and iPadOS. I just couldn’t get it to pickup calls. It rings but can’t accept. Instructions online don’t match settings in the iPadOS app (settings are missing). Sorry I didn’t get a 3 day trial or something. It took very little time to realize it won’t work for me if I can’t answer calls.

Business line

Best thing since sliced bread

Deactivated my business number days into a paid subscription — no refund, no explanation

I subscribed to Line2 for an iPhone business line, expecting a reliable number I could use for client communications. Instead, just a few days into my paid subscription, Line2 deactivated my business number without warning. This was not a minor inconvenience — this was the phone number I had already started giving to new business contacts and prospects.

When I contacted support, they refused to provide a refund and would not even tell me why my number was deactivated. That is completely unacceptable for a paid business communications app. If a company is going to remove access to a customer’s paid business line, the absolute minimum standard should be a clear explanation and a refund for service they failed to provide.

Because of Line2’s actions, I lost access to several new business contacts and likely lost sales. Prospects who had my new number could no longer reach me, and I had no way to recover those missed opportunities. For any business owner, freelancer, or professional relying on a second line, that kind of failure can directly harm your reputation and revenue.

I would strongly warn anyone considering Line2 for business use: do not trust this app with an important phone number. A business phone line needs to be stable, transparent, and backed by accountable support. My experience was the opposite — unreliable service, no explanation, no refund, and real damage to my business.

Glitchy

No video supported. You should login every month to make sure it’s loaded. Randomly get errors. Last month they resent over 100 texts. I sent in a support chat and never got a response on it.

Does not work with VPN

I have used this app for years but recently it stopped updating or transmitting texts inside the app, although notifications were still visible. It turns out that it will now not work when a VPN is running, although Support was reluctant to acknowledge this. Spurious error messages when I tried to log in etc. which went away when I disabled my VPN. I will be moving to another virtual second line solution.

Worst overall experience

A nightmare level overall experience. Not working as they described, the app is down the 98% of the time, a lot of people text me and text messages never arrive, I try to call or receive calls and the app is down, I try to contact customer support and was very disgusting gross, etc. Avoid this cheap poor app

Excellent service

1 star

If I could I would give it 0 stars. I wasn’t even able to get pass the first step, I tried this repeatedly and it didn’t do anything. I have sat for an hour waiting for it to work and it hasn’t 1 star.

fraud app

they disabled my number without any notice all my incoming calls effected because of this, please don’t reply on this service they can just say you violated.

Took a long time to port my number and SMS features are limited

I chose Line2 since my prior carrier stopped allowing personal lines. It took over a week to port my number correctly. Also the SMS features are limited - no sending of videos or larger photos/memes, can’t like an SMS, etc. The product is ok but additional features are needed.

Constant Problems

I’m leaving a negative review because of ongoing reliability issues and the way support handled them.

I rely on this number for business communication, and I recently experienced a serious problem where SMS messages sent from my Line2 VoIP number were not being received by Spectrum and Verizon customers. That is a major issue when texting is part of daily operations.

Support responded by saying the problem could not be replicated when they tested on three carriers and suggested that I contact the receiving carriers myself. That is not a reasonable resolution. My service relationship is with Line2 as the VoIP provider. When messages originating from the platform are not being delivered, I expect the provider to investigate the deliverability issue rather than directing customers to troubleshoot with large carrier networks.

During troubleshooting I also learned that an app update required the app to be deleted and reinstalled for things to function properly. That is important information that should be communicated proactively. There was no notice in the app or guidance from support suggesting that step, and customers should not have to guess that reinstalling the app is required after an update.

Unfortunately this is not the first time I have experienced reliability problems with Line2. Between the recurring messaging issues and the lack of a meaningful resolution from support, I no longer have confidence in the platform for business communication. As a result, I plan to move my number away from Line2 to another provider.

For a service that businesses depend on for calls and messaging, reliability and accountability matter. My experience here has not reflected that.

UPDATE

After my original review, the developer responded asking me to submit another support request and move the conversation off the App Store using a support code. It’s not difficult to understand why companies do this. Moving the conversation off the review page keeps the full sequence of events from remaining visible to other users.

The issue is that I had already gone through support.

Around February 2025, when Line2 implemented the required 10DLC registration, I completed the process as instructed. Something on Line2’s side then caused my number to lose the ability to make outbound calls for nearly a month before it was eventually corrected.

In March 2026 I contacted support again because SMS messages from my number were not being received by Spectrum and Verizon customers.

The response I received was:

“The line was tested on three separate carriers and the issue was not replicated. That means the issue is not with your Line2 service; it’s with the carrier that is receiving the message.”

So the issue was dismissed and attributed to the receiving carrier.

After submitting negative feedback and requesting the information needed to port my number to another provider, the situation escalated. Support began asking to troubleshoot again and I then received a notice stating my account had been flagged for business-related SMS messaging and that SMS on my number may be suspended.

So the sequence was:

I report an SMS delivery problem.
Support says there is no issue with their service.
I submit negative feedback and request port-out information.
My account is then flagged and I’m warned SMS may be suspended.

For a service marketed as a business phone platform, that experience speaks for itself.

Do not use for political campaign!

I would give a zero if I could. The company, without warning cancelled my account halfway into my political campaign without notice or warning. Now, I cannot access any of my communications and my established number is no longer useful.

All I was told is my account was flagged and verified to have violated terms and conditions but I wasn’t told what those were or given the ability to dispute.

Do not use this company. Terrible. After looking into those terms and conditions I still have no idea what they determined I had violated.

Can someone please fix this

I’ve been using Line2 for years loved it now, unfortunately I would no longer recommended it, especially if your using for business. Im constantly being told ‘I’ve been calling and calling ands texting and texting an no one is getting back to me” we have been missing lots and lots of calls and texts, we’re calling back everyone, the issue is these calls/texts aren’t getting through and it’s happening more and more often.

We’re rebooting almost daily per their bot help and still this is continuing.

Can someone there please get to the bottom of whatever glitch this is and finally just fix the app?
