About
Draw a little melody. In LineTone, your lines become notes: higher marks play higher pitches, and left to right becomes time in an eight-beat loop.
Start with a blank canvas or hear the included sample. Use your finger or a stylus, listen as you draw, and play back what you made.
THREE SOUND BRUSHES
Choose Glow for soft flowing tones, Bell for bright notes, or Pulse for a warm rhythmic sound. Each brush has its own color and locally synthesized voice. Mix them on the same canvas.
CHOOSE THE FEEL
Set a tempo from 48 to 180 BPM and choose C, D, F, or A. Notes follow a pentatonic scale, so you can explore melodies without entering notes on a keyboard.
PLAY AND REVISE
Play your eight-beat loop, stop it, add more lines, or undo a stroke. Name and save your canvases so you can return to them later.
SHARE WHAT YOU MADE
Export WAV audio to save or share the loop. Export an MP4 video with your artwork, a moving playback line, and the music. Preview the result before sharing.
WAV exports use 44.1 kHz, mono, 16-bit PCM. Videos use a 720 by 960 portrait frame with H.264 video and AAC audio. Export duration follows your chosen tempo; an eight-beat loop at 96 BPM lasts five seconds.
MADE ON YOUR DEVICE
Sound is synthesized locally, and editable canvases are saved on the device. There are no accounts, ads, subscriptions, or cloud music generation. No microphone recording is needed.
Each canvas supports up to 200 strokes. Playback uses up to 512 distinct note events. Keep the app open while an audio or video export is being created.
Available on iPhone and iPad. Requires iOS 17 or later.
