GPX ISSUE - upload
I would like to bring to your attention an issue I am experiencing when uploading GPX files. The problem is that the app doesn't consider GPX files compatible when creating a new ride even if they were sourced from Link My Ride.
While I appreciate the Link My Ride platform, these ongoing issues are impacting my experience and are leading me to consider alternative solutions.
I would appreciate your support in addressing this matter.

Doom Loop on account created
Account created, but keeps looping to check your Inbox. Click on that “Where does your investment take us” mail and it only wants you to invest on Crowdcube. Several days trying with same result so it’s a pointless app that achieves nothing except a doom loop. Sorry, Tom Pidcock, but this is a fail out of the gate.

So easy to use
Really easy to use.. best feature is to download / transfer routes to head unit within a few clicks no need for PC , love scrolling down to see what social rides I can jump on to. Just registered on Instagram ride and a Tech ride with a burger at the end 😉👌

I’ve tried to access the app umpteen times over the last few months but for whatever reason I never receive the verification link for me email (and yes, I do check my junk ;-)) Sad, because it sounds like it would be great if I could get on!

This the app which every cyclist needs, it’s really amazing app to connect and communicate all cyclists together, sharing the routes and start point for any ride + the waiver option for clubs where they can share the instructions and guidance to the members.

Really useful and shows great promise!
I have found LMR to be a great asset to find and join rides when I was on holiday in Spain recently….didn’t need to be on any special/secret email lists or other online groups….didn’t need to follow just the right people or clubs in Strava either. It’s a nice concept and works well for me, but it’s still mostly unknown in the US.
I don’t know why that other reviewer is getting notifications from clubs so far away…that is not happening for me.

Privacy issues
Defaults to sharing your EXACT pinpoint location on a map without warning you it’s going to do that. Doesn’t let you preview how useful it may be for your area without creating an account and sharing your location. Eg. There were zero rides and a total of six riders in my area so I’d have skipped even signing up.

Very cool idea
I’m in Glasgow for the worlds with my bike, don’t know anyone to ride with and there are plenty of rides to join!
I also created one myself and invite a few locals who turned up! Made some nee friends!!! So cool

New cyclist and didn’t know anyone, this app shows people nearby and a created a ride invited locals and now I know a great group!

My club chose this service for organizing group rides.
The premise is great: I can get a push notification if a group ride is canceled (well, the old system, where I got an email if a ride was canceled, worked well too but let’s set that aside).
However I also get push notifications for random rides 3,000 miles away across the Atlantic Ocean. Utter crap.

Crashes. Shows sponsored ahead of clubs you follow
Shows what looks to be sponsored club rides from all over the world instead(in front) of the clubs I actually follow with no way of disabling it. I’m not interested in looking rides going on in other countries.
Needs better tools for clubs for dealing with users set to private as ride creators cannot see those users.
Being able to link routes from strava or RWGPS would be useful instead of the gpx file for those only using mobile devices.
