Terrible

App doesn’t work, tried uploading a pdf file, never uploaded, tried an image that didn’t work either. App is worthless

Great app for AI reader for auditions

Sounds natural and clean voices

A few too many problems.

First of all, I think the pricing is ridiculous. I would want to use this app for 10 weeks (absolute minimum) during preparation, rehearsal, and performances for a single play. If I have to keep up the premium subscription to be able to rehearse the full script for that time, I’m paying $60. This app, as impressive as it is, doesn’t provide anywhere near that amount of value. Anything above like $3.99 a month and I’m settling for one of the subscription-free alternatives.

I also was not able to upload a (very clean) PDF successfully despite messing around with all the options.

The voice recognition is also too permissive of small mistakes. I would like for it to not let me proceed if I paraphrased a few words— the whole point is to memorize my lines perfectly. Even better would be for it to somehow flag the mistake rather than just blocking me.

I’ll keep an eye on this app, but for now I won’t be sticking with it.

Beg Actor

So far, I like it. I don’t always have someone to read lines with and this app will be so helpful to me.

Missing Cue Lines

Even when I articulate the cue line in my speech, it doesn’t accurately hear the word and move onto the next line.
It seems to miss a lot of cues.

Revolutionary

I love the “line-read” feature, it disguises what otherwise may have been a robotic read into a specified performance with a believable voice. Aside from being a game changer in cue to cue rehearsal of line throughs, now there is a contender for self-tapes for those who want to focus on performance without having to ask for favors.

Stopped working

Says voice library loading. I cant use it now. And chat option not working

Not quite there yet

Still very buggy, so much so that it’s ruined one of my self tapes multiple times because the reader kept delaying their lines LOL. Look, it’s a great idea, but it isn’t there yet. And it’s certainly not worth the 10$/month price tag.

Love The Application Needs Tuning (adding another star)

The app is very useful for rehearsal before taping, and right now that’s the only thing I’d recommend it for. In actual auditions, subtext often gets misread, lines get jumbled, and the audio can come out rough.

Until the AI becomes more conversational, picking up on nonverbal cues written in the script and the like, I’d say this app puts you at a disadvantage compared to actors who have a real reader.

I appreciate how the team continues to work to improve this app. +2 stars from me.

Unfortunately have to pay to use

The “free” option only lets you upload a scene with 10 lines, any scenes over that and you’re gonna have to start paying to use the app.

Flat app fee over subscription please!

I wish the app cost a certain amount and then you could upload as many pages as you want. A subscription based service seems so inaccessible

Prefer cold read

Bought this a couple of days ago and it’s already glitching. Flashing won’t play. Absolutely no use to me.

This is the best app I have used for line learning and self taping. If you don’t have a reader this is by far the next best thing. The customer support is prompt and detailed. Excellent service and great functionality.

Lots of bugs

I really like the idea of this app, but it has way too many bugs. It constantly glitches and takes forever to load.

Not ready for charging $

I think a lawsuit may be underway, as this app charges money for a faulty product. It doesn’t recognize basic words like ‘huh’ it doesn’t pick up on your voice que every time leaving you yelling the cue into the phone until it registers and making self tape use very unreliable.

Audio

Hi. Sometimes it doesn‘t recognize my line and I have to repeat several time and that can be frustrating when you are in the middle of the self tape and dropped in and then it doesn‘t feed you the next line and you have to start from the beginning. Also while self taping with the Iphone and using the App ,it’s very hard to hear the AI voice speaking and I have it on full volume. Also I had it set to one Ai Voice setting but the first line was always a different voice even though I kept going back to the settings to select the voice I had set for all the other lines. So yeah it has a few glitches but overall a cool app.

Great but needs some bug fixes

Amazing app for memorizing but sometimes gets stuck when generating a voice for the lines. Also sometimes doesn't pick up the final line cue, but other than that it's great.

Okay but could be better

Sometimes doesn’t hear the completion on the line

Love The Application Needs Tuning (adding a star)

Originally I couldn’t leave my tapes inside the app I would open the recordings anything past a total of four minutes and the app would crash when I would try to view them. This I believe has been fixed. Lastly, the audio for auditions gets scuffed. It is way to quiet. It’s important for casting to hear us.

Not worth the money.

Very glitchy and doesn’t work as intended. Script uploaded was missing lines. While rehearsing and dating the CORRECT word to advance the scene it hangs up.
Cool idea but very frustrating when trying to use it as intended
