Helped me

Have used this from day one, recommend!

Dishonest

I’ve had the app for over a month now and I realized how unfair they’ve been. They had a promotion going on when I purchased this app initially: get 1 month of free help from a professional sleep consultant via chat. So I paid for the app itself and contacted the consultant. She was mildly helpful in the beginning after I explained my baby’s sleep habits in detail. However, she would take “breaks” and be unreachable for a week, sometimes longer, at a time. It gave me the option to swap consultants, but why would I want to have to go through our history again and deal with a new person? I chose to continue working with her, especially when I thought this is like any other profession, and surely she’ll be available more once her first, or second, break finish. She really wasn’t. When she was available, her hours didn’t always align with mine, so we’d send messages in the chat that may sit there unread for hours at a time. Ultimately, she’d give very minimal advice, tell me to work at that for several days and update her later, and then tell me not to rush things when I’d inquire about what the next step would be. I wasn’t asking to do it, I just wanted an idea of what would happen next. They just dragged out the month to not really help, and now, that consultant fee is $19 a month on top of the $15 a month app fee. That’s not a lot to a lot of people, but it is significant to me. Also, how should I expect it to be any more helpful after paying for that? I gave it 2 stars, because the app is useful on its own, but I used to keep track of everything in my notes app. It’s practically the same thing: keeping times of feeds and sleep, and a running log of diapers.

Incredible support

I have tried 4/5 different platforms for my 14 week old’s sleep and none of them have been remotely as good as Little Ones. The sleep consultants are incredible, so supportive of you as a parents and at the other end of the phone if you want to message them for advice. They are really invested in your journey with your LO and I just couldn’t be more grateful for that. I feel reassured, relieved and motivated by their guidance. The content on the app is also excellent and super user friendly - every question I’ve thought of has been answered through their ‘lessons’ tab. Highly recommend!

Mixed

I’ve heard people have success with this app, so I tried it, multiple times. My LO was 10 weeks, 3 months and then 5 months when I tried it - I kept going back to give it another shot. It works of a very rigid schedule that did not work for me or my baby. Babies are not robots, not all babies need the same wake windows as each other, or the same wake windows everyday. In fact I no longer believe in wake windows and am more inclined to work off of when my baby looks tired. I find keeping to the schedule very stressful when things didn’t go to plan. You are able to access “sleep consultants”, which I do not think is worth the money. They only reply at night, which makes me think they are outsourced. Their responses are almost copy and paste. I was constantly told that the issue with my baby not sleeping properly was due to her not “self settling” there was no other considerations made. It was as if she did not self settle at the start of her naps, she would never sleep properly , which is not true.
I found the advice to cause me and my baby much more stress and have moved over to the most popular app (beginning with H) and have already had more success in one night. If it works for you, cool, but if not, don’t stress like I did, there is other ways of understanding your baby.

Response from developer

Thanks for sharing your experience. We completely understand that no approach will suit every baby or family, and we’re glad you’ve found something that works better for you. We would, however, like to clarify a couple of points. Our schedules are designed as flexible guides, not rigid rules and can absolutely be adjusted to suit an individual baby. Self-settling is also only one part of our approach and is never considered in isolation. Our consultants are not outsourced. They are trained Little Ones sleep consultants who support families across different time zones, which can mean responses arrive at varying times. We absolutely understand that no sleep approach will suit every family and if you’ve found something that feels like a better fit for you and your baby, that is what matters. We would just like to clarify that our philosophy is very much about providing a framework that can be adapted to the individual baby, rather than expecting every baby to behave or sleep in exactly the same way.

It worked and very helpful

I used this for my 2nd child, starting at 3 months. It wasnt easy but the guide was clear and sensible.the tracker is very handy to know sleep duration and food
