Battery hog
This app is a needless battery hog on my phone. I can stream other music stations and this uses 5X the battery compared to others.
The good things about this app are the stations are decent and has reasonable ads without subscription. If it weren’t for the battery usage I would use it more.

Terrible Change to Favorite Mashup
LiveOne used to be a great app. The Favorite Mashup Station played mostly the songs I had hearted or favorited, with only a few random suggestions mixed in. Recently, that has changed a lot. Now it plays too many random suggestions that are not close to what I like. Maybe 1 in 5 songs are one Thar o favorites. Deleting live one.

Drains battery and overheats phone
This had been a great app at one point, and stations are great still if I try it, but the app is currently so poorly written that it drains my phone by 5% or more for just a single song, and overheats my phone with all the cpu it overuses. As an app it’s unusable in its current state.

The station selection is great, especially for the price, but with the latest iOS update, it eats my battery like there’s no tomorrow, and makes my phone overheat.

Can some fix the app please? Im on iphone 17 pro and this app overheats my phone and drains the battery.
Long time user, first complaint ever.
I’ve been using this app since its inception, back when it was Yahoo Radio, then Slacker Radio, the Live x Live, then Live One. This will be my first complaint.
Why the unnecessary remixes of songs? I want to listen to the original 1979 song by Smashing Pumpkins, not some weird remix. I don’t want to listen to a remix of an Ace of Base song, I want to hear the actual Ace of Base song. If you want to play remixes of songs from different decades, then generate a station that plays only remixes of rock and pop songs. But leave the originals where they belong. This just distracts from the experience as a listener.

I gave the five stars to the review that "Slacker was better. Previously downloaded songs are now reduced to 30 clips. Upgrades tend to actually be downgrades. I’ve stopped upgrading.

A lot of problems lately.
Keeps saying I’m not connected to the internet, when I clearly am. Then when I close it down and reopen, it won’t load up. When it finally does open it wants me to sign in, but it won’t let me. Then it eventually starts working again for a bit before it repeats this whole process. Lost my account due to this and had to start over. Now it’s doing it again. Come on Live One, get your app to work properly!

The curated stations are simply the best
The curated stations are simply the best. Thoughtful and entertaining stations keep me coming back! The algorithms for related songs and artists can sometimes be a bit off target; there’s always room for improvement. Absolutely recommend!
Drains battery even when charging
At some point there was an update that just kills this app. iPhone 15 gets hot and battery drains in minutes, and it’s only when using this app. Shame.
Amazing
This app is great but when I run the app my phone gets very hot and brings my battery level down to by 12% after 20 mins of usage (iPhone 16 brand new in 2025).
App crashes on iPad and iPhone no response from support

Drains and heats up the iPhone
Even after rebooting and going into settings-privacy,security-turn off all tracking improvements still drains the battery like crazy and heats up the iPhone. Please fix this.

Love this app. The heat and battery issues since the last iso update had me soured on the app. However there is a solution go to settings and to privacy and security turn off all the improvement tracking items and instant fix
Horrible app
Took money from me twice in one month. Halfway through the month app quit working. Contacted customer service and basically brushed me off. Do not recommend buying anything from this company.

I believe this site used to be slacker.com. I liked it back then around 11 or 12 years ago.
It was my first customized radio stations. Pretty nice page interface with some good music in their library. Sometimes I wondered how certain songs were picked for each genre. Although, after some time I could finally mold each station towards what i wanted.
In the last 5 years or so I experienced some technical problems at least with my android, not necessarily my laptop. But it's finally good to hear that most of those problems have been taken care of. Not so sure about my firestick app.
For those people cutting this site / app for the music library. Hold your horses, cause what else do you have to compare to pandora? Yes i do like pandora but no reason
to put down this based on library size. Because there are songs here that are not on pandora and vice versa.

Literally causes my phone to overheat
I only use this app at the gym and off the charger and in the past 2 weeks it causes my phone to overheat and the battery to drain terribly. Not sure if this is related to ios26 or a memory leak but it would be great if they would fix this. Ive had this app since it was OG Slacker Radio and rarely go a day or 2 without using it.

Drains the battery on iOS 26
After installing iOS 26 on both an iPhone 16 Pro Max as well as a 17 Pro Max, this app drains the battery crazy fast. This morning LiveOne used 45% battery with 1 min on screen and 1hr 34m in the background. That is beyond ridiculous. Pls fix, I love this app in general.
