😡 No longer compatible with iPadOS 18 😡
As of 23 Feb 2026, this doesn’t work at all with iPadOS 18 and Logic 12.
The newer version that works with Logic 12 has been restricted to iPadOS 26.
But many of us don’t want to update to iPadOS 26, because of the loss of Split View and Slide Over.
There’s no technical reason why this app couldn’t support Logic 12.3 via iPadOS 18 - it’s just bad behaviour by Apple to force users to upgrade their OS.
Very disappointing.

As of 23 Feb 2026, this doesn’t work at all. It says it needs to be updated to work with the current version of Logic.

Update 30 May 2026: very disappointed that this hasn’t been resolved. The app is now useless - presumably to drive people to subscribe to Logic for iPad.

Something changed
When I open logic remote and try to connect with my logic Pro running version 12.2 on my MacBook, I get a message saying the iPad software needs to be updated because it’s not compatible with that version of logic Pro. The problem is, when I go to the App Store, I don’t get an option to download or update, just to open. In other words, “You already have the most current version”. So I’m just stuck. No matter what I try, I can’t break out of that loop. It loads briefly and shows me my tracks, but then gives me that message from hell. Thanks, Apple.

Logic 12 version
This version of Logic Remote does not work with Logic 12. Logic says that I need to update Logic Remote, but there is not an update yet. I use this a lot and really need this to work.
Used to be great
Updated to logic 12.2 and OS 15.7.7, and it no longer works, and no one seems to have a fix.
