As of 23 Feb 2026, this doesnāt work at all with iPadOS 18 and Logic 12.
The newer version that works with Logic 12 has been restricted to iPadOS 26.
But many of us donāt want to update to iPadOS 26, because of the loss of Split View and Slide Over.
Thereās no technical reason why this app couldnāt support Logic 12.3 via iPadOS 18 - itās just bad behaviour by Apple to force users to upgrade their OS.
Very disappointing.

Something changed
When I open logic remote and try to connect with my logic Pro running version 12.2 on my MacBook, I get a message saying the iPad software needs to be updated because itās not compatible with that version of logic Pro. The problem is, when I go to the App Store, I donāt get an option to download or update, just to open. In other words, āYou already have the most current versionā. So Iām just stuck. No matter what I try, I canāt break out of that loop. It loads briefly and shows me my tracks, but then gives me that message from hell. Thanks, Apple.

Logic 12 version
This version of Logic Remote does not work with Logic 12. Logic says that I need to update Logic Remote, but there is not an update yet. I use this a lot and really need this to work.
Used to be great
Updated to logic 12.2 and OS 15.7.7, and it no longer works, and no one seems to have a fix.

Logic makes me older
Almost useless to the point that it should have never existed!! Causing headache heartache and back pain!
Update this for 12.+ already
It used to work with 11 and now, itās pretty much DOA. Needs an update, asap.
Versatile program
Overall I love using these Logic programs. I find them much more user friendly and intuitive than others, with plenty of features for different styles of production and recording. Special request for mobile: Please have the export to MIDI track feature available for audio flex pitch data ? Thanks! š

Update needed
Iām not able to use the app because the dialogue says I need the most updated version however I downloaded the app today and donāt see an update button available so Iām basically blocked.

I tried two machines, iPhone and iPad, clearing prefs etcā¦ Google the issue, used AIā¦ it used to work before! Now I am getting the nasty message: āThe version of Logic Remote on iPhone (or iPadā¦) need to be updated to be compatible with this version of Logic Proā!!! No update availableāwas taken by surprise last night in the middle of a session trying to record drums. Horrible experience. They are busy releasing new iPhones and stuff we donāt needā¦ as usual.

Logic Pro 12 Support?
Apple please! I depend on Remote for running Logic Pro. A month after the v12 release and Iām still getting the āmust upgrade Logic Remoteā error when trying to connect. Not a good look.
Versions
Spent more time today trying to download the right version to make it work after it was working for years. Now it doesnāt want to download the version.
