App. Not working from today
Please do something, some of us don’t have the latest software because we are disabled and depend on disability software. I am unable to use your app anymore as I am on iOS 14.3 and since today it is in compatible with your app. I have an older device so cannot update it in any case my disability software would not be compatible with an update. Please allow us with older devices to continue to use your app.

Dar app
Good app and easy to use and great for deaf people who unable to speak on phone, it’s great idea they can cancel dar anytime!!
Best service
If you have to use DAR you can’t go wrong. Friendly drivers totally understanding and make your day enjoyable
Amazing
I love the ride ever so much and the app is amazing. I get used to it to the app so quick. I wasn’t thinking that I was gonna learn and get used to it that quick to be honest, which is really brilliant. I loved it.
Caring drivers and staff
Great service and a brilliant app showing all detailed journey. Drivers look after my 90year mother so well and help her door to door with care and empathy! They all care to do such great work!
Ok, but needs improvement
The London Dial A Ride service caters for disabled and elderly residents who need travel assistance.
In the past users were only able to book journeys by calling dialling a ride on the phone (which they can still do), but this app allows users to book journeys, which is a welcome addition.
Users can also track drivers on the app and also see if they have any drops or pick ups along the way (marked on the map with purple dots).
The app also allows users to edit journeys up to two hours prior to the driver being despatched. The number of passengers cannot be edited, however. The app also allows users to cancel journeys which is excellent because in the old days peope had to phone, and wait ages to speak to a customer service agent, by which point the driver was already at the pick up point.
The Dial A Ride service, given its nature as a ride share service where each driver has a preset schedule of multiple pick ups and drop offs, works very well indeed. Of course there are occasional delays or cancellations but many of these things also happen with taxi services and prestige courier organisations.
I think there is some room for improvement. For one thing, if multiple dial a ride users want to travel to and form the same location, they have to make separate booking which means doffent buses would come and pick them up/drop them off. If all passengers are being picked up from the same location, and dropped off at the same location, this app must absolutely address this issues and allow multiple membership numbers to be added per booking so everyone could be booked together on the same bus.
Also, I think the app should indicate if any passenger will be paired with anyone who happens to be travelling with a dog. This could be indicate som the map so a passenger could refuse the pick up. Many peope have fur allergies or dog phobias so instead of the passenger getting on board and feeling awkward or having discussions with the driver about the situation, while in the presence of the passenger accompanied by a dog, it would be better if the app can indicate if passengers will be on board the bus with a dog at any point. Of course, people travelling with dogs must be allowed to travel, but people who have fur allergies or dog phobias should have the option to decline the journey if the app indicates that a dog will be on board
The app design is generally ok, but at the time of writing I think the Dial A Ride bus animation should appear whenever the app starts up.
As it is, the red dial a ride bus animation only appears before passengers log in with their details. Once users are singed in, they remain signed in, which is fine, but the intro screen just shows the dial a ride logo and not the animated bus. This begs the question, why crate this colourful animation which is rarely seen? It might as well be shown every time the app is accessed as it is better than the bland dial a ride logo being shown alone.
In any case, I think the dial a ride is a huge improvement over the telephone line. Unless there is a problem, most users who are able to use the app won’t need to contact the call, which makes it easier to manage journeys, and be in control of your schedule.

Ms
This app is quite okay when you get used to it. However, there is a lot of improvement that could be made.
Same day bookings and edit feature removed
The Dial A Ride app, until today, had a a feature that allowed users to edit bookings for the following day. This meant if next day plans changed or timings needed to be adjusted one could try to do that without losing the original booking. If the new requested time was available, it would be booked. If the new time was not available, the user did not lose the original journey.
Now, the only option is to cancel the original booking, and if there is no other time available, the user loses the original booking.
This makes the app less user friendly and the service less accessible.
Also, in 2024, there was a cyber attack on the tfl network and Dial A Ride removed users’ ability to make same day bookings. While same day bookings are available on the phone, they have not been reinstated on the app. Many drivers moan about their work and it seems Via and TFL are just taking feature off to accommodate drivers who want to do less work. The app used to be really good, and for me it reduced my dependency on phoning the Dial A Ride phone line where the staff are frequently rude, and don’t always do what they say. The app allows users to cancel journey with ease and it saves holding on the phone line for 20 minutes but this app is seeing serious decline, and they should restore the feature they removed. I think Dial A ride users need to complain to the Mayor Of London and TFL because they are making this app less and less useful.

Can’t do same-day bookings
For the last month of been unable to do same-day bookings. Initially told this was due to cyber attack but nowDAR phone bookings say that there is a problem with the app. There is always some sort of glitch. This needs to be fixed. I have updated the app for my elderly mother who uses iOS 14.3 but still it is not possible to do same-day bookings. Please look into this!

Dial A Ride
I find all the drivers are so kind and patient also very friendly.
Great service
Dial a Ride is an excellent service for the people that need it. I am not a fan of the new system as it has made me late for Appointments twice now, please bring back the old system.
GREAT DRIVER
Kane came and took me and Mum to St Charles Hospital. Smooth Drive and FANTASTIC and FRIENDLY Driver. Wish Kane would drive every Journey for us.
He deserves a OSCAR.
Really HAPPY.
From me and Mum THANKS Kane.

Terrible and very frustrating to use!
This app can’t even get my address and postcode correct and Dial A Ride are no help whatsoever whenever you ask for help.
My advice is to go back to telephoning DAR to make bookings

System freeze
I think there is something wrong because, every time I open the app , it will freeze not allowing me to access anything. I will then have to close the app to go back in , it will then start working then it will freeze again , then will have to close the app. It is quite annoying. Is it possible to check the system from dial a ride side . Because I want to be able to make bookings at ease .

Typical useless TFL
For an app that should be user friendly for elderly and disabled it definitely is NOT! so laggy and crashes constantly just as frustrating as waiting for someone to answer a phone when you call to make a booking! Always have to put in date and time first before entering location or have to close app and start again. Have just spent 20mins going around in circles to do a job that should take 2mins!! Sort it out tfl!
