Terrible now
This app used to be useful in requesting matches and setting others up. Now with the premium features in effect that apply restrictions to introduction requests or setting others up it defeats the purpose of using it at all. I’m seeing way more people using WhatsApp groups instead at this point.
This app also lags a lot. Takes a while to launch and load profiles.

New Daily Match Limit
I’ve made multiple successful matches through this app but now it limits the matchmakers to just 3 suggestions per day.
Got so much worse
Used to love this app. My roommate even started dating her boyfriend though my setting them up on this app. They eventually broke up (for unrelated reasons). Now with the new update, I can’t set friends up with ‘friends of friends’. Can only set them up with other people I know personally. Kind of defeats the purpose of the app. Now I can’t set her up with new people. And I can only set up 3 people a day. What’s the point even? I’m not going to pay as a matchmaker who is married for a dating app. Back to tinder and hinge for her I guess

MONEY GRAB - USELESS
This app used to actually be great until they got ridiculously money hungry. Using this without paying the astronomical price is almost pointless. I can’t even see the people who I’m in the same group with.
Pointless app. So many people have stopped using it because of this insane price. This is a failing app.

No follow up
Thank you for creating such a great app — I’m really enjoying using it and would love to use it more to help singles. I do have a few suggestions that I believe would improve the experience:
1. There’s currently no follow-up after I set someone up, so I have no way of knowing whether the match worked out. It would be very helpful to receive feedback or updates so I know whether to continue pursuing a match or explore other options.
2. As a matchmaker, it would be beneficial to have access to users’ phone numbers (with their consent) so I can communicate with them directly, better understand their needs, and coach them throughout the dating process.
3. New matchmakers may find it difficult to create and grow a group. Asking them to set up singles within their group isn’t effective if they don’t yet have members. It would be helpful to provide tools or support to help matchmakers build and grow their groups.
4. Requiring more detailed information on singles’ profiles would make it easier to create meaningful and compatible matches.
5. It should be easier to search for people by location. Many users are not willing to travel far, and currently the location feature on the setup screen does not seem to work properly.
6. The learning curve is fairly steep. Adding short training videos or tutorials would make it much easier for new users and matchmakers to get started.

Delete the app
The app used to be better when you could see your friends’ friends or openly see members of the group you’re in. Now you have to pay for those things which is ridiculous because how else can I ask to be set up if I can only see my friends’ profiles? The whole point is to meet new people… was excited by the concept at first but it’s a waste of time 👎🏼

Crashes
After the last update, app crashes often. Also, should be able to search multiple members without resetting filters each time.
Lack of established filters and premium
The App was better with open friend search but the premium version is okay in my opinion but priced to high and really gate keeps potential matches; also there should be more options for people who are out of network to be able to find each with either random everyday post or at least a free day like Friday’s where it’s encouraged to make match’s

Needs improvement when it comes to messaging people.
I love everything about Loop except for the fact that the messaging is way limited. You can’t message people you want to set up more than once.
App is de-incentivizing app usage
The app constantly makes new changes and upgrades, which for the most part is a good thing however, in recent months, the app started making users pay for every little thing. The problem with this is:
1. People out of the goodness of their heart would set up matches- not because it’s their career in matchmaking. Now that they don’t let you see friends and friends unless you pay, it’s a very hard to set up people.
- I used to set up people all the time, but now stopped using the app because I don’t care to set up people if I have to pay for it. It was just a nice thing for me to do
2. They now force users to pay if they want to accept matches?! Not all, but just profiles with a star on it, which I do not understand. But again this incentivizes usage.

Unusable Since Paid Update
Creator got greedy and now app sucks. Can’t set up with anyone without paying. If you wanted to make money you should run events, not make a paywall to match people.
Paywall is dumb
If they don’t make 30$/month per person, then you don’t deserve to find a partner. Ok, but what are they doing to deserve that money? They’re harvesting your data and selling access to your friend’s friends back to you. Lame business model.
Money Hungry + Constant Crashing
This app was actually a great concept. It’s built very cheap and is constantly crashing. They’ve also practically made it useless unless you buy the premium version for an insane price.

“Premium feature”
This was one of the only Jewish dating apps I’ve seen that truly caters to frum Jews, and I genuinely enjoyed using it at first. Unfortunately, the recent shift toward a very high paywall has made the app almost unusable without purchasing premium. You can’t interact with communities, people, or even your matches unless you upgrade.
If that was the goal, it would’ve been better to simply charge for the app upfront instead of locking basic features behind a subscription that doesn’t feel worth it. I tried the premium option, and it was honestly disappointing. I guess you can’t have your cake and eat it too.

Too Expensive
I pay $30 and I get to unlock 1 group for 1 hour. Makes no sense. But it’s a good app.
