Not good
I have this camera and I have way too many problems with it. It’s constantly not playing. The recordings constantly goes off-line on its own. Way too many issues is not a good camera.
Not awful, but not great
Camera app is decent but it's got two large flaws that I'd love to see an upgrade for. First, only allowing one user logged in at a time is crazy, and then when another user opens the app, they have to log back in. I've got multiple managers that have access to the cameras... secondly, I get lots of lag on the app especially when in HD mode for the camera. Other than those two issues, the app seems to do what it's supposed to do

Video playback works 5% of the time.
Usually when I’m needing to check the recorded saved videos when I’m away from home they never load up ever! It’s pretty frustrating as well. The app sucks for wanting to playback your saved videos.

Cameras system is good but I keep getting an error “Uh oh! Something went wrong. Tap to retry” when I go to review footage 95% of the time.
Useless camera system
Don’t waste your money on this camera system. Complete junk and not surprising the app also is horrible.

The App needs lot of work, ancient setup really, let alone any camera updates.

It is freezing and you can’t watch the livestream. It is on and off. Even playback you can’t watch them without stop and start
Notifications still broken 5 years
Update 9/6/26. What a POS app. This app has been updated so many times and it’s still broken l. It randomly turns off notifications on certain cameras when it likes. It logs you out randomly for no reason. Pause alerts never works. If my company put out a product like this we’d be out of business. Pure Garbage.
If the developers are too dumb to use AI to fix a simple issue, get out of the camera business. I’m dumping this trash.

Very frustrating when you’re in an area with poor internet. At least with the thumbnail you can get a glimpse of what may be the trigger. PLEASE FIX THIS!!

Doesn’t work away from home
This is great cam if your connected to your own wifi. I’m at work & it constantly says off line or something wrong! So frustrating
Very slow and unreliable
Opening cameras for live view works okay. However, when it comes to reviewing footage, the app experience is truly horrible. Try-again-later messages constantly appear, even with great WiFi connectivity. The Lorex app worked alright before an update some time ago, now it’s a complete mess.
Playback is poor
The app works great for everything except the playback, don’t expect to play back anything but the real time is good. Also only one login for each email, if you have multiple devices get ready to sign in all the time. The app is gradually loosing features that used to work great
Terrible App - Stupid Motion Zones
Lorex in general is not a bad system. The cameras are okay and they are pretty reliable. The app is a whole other story. It is straight GARBAGE. The motion zones are absolutely meaningless. Motion alerts come in back to back - animal then person or person then animal. It’s so extremely frustrating. Now light settings are also not working. And customer support is so frustrating. I’m so tired of trying to explain things. Why can’t they just fix it?l I am not the only one with these complaints.

Way too many false alarms
Great app if you like to listen to it ding every 2-5 minutes telling you that you have a car in your driveway which is your own or a miller flying at night or snow blowing telling you someone is at your front door. Nothing to wake up in the morning to have 100 notifications or more
Terrible cameras
The ad should say live view intermittently, not anything. That’s BS!

The app barely works. I need always have the same error message again and again, even in the same network. No support. Worst product.

Not recommended, every time I receive the notifications, i couldn’t open, it takes longer and it’s annoying 😡

App is horrible. Everything is working fine, no problems on my end, yet the app says oops and gives an error when loading be camera
Doorbell call issues
This app seems to have major flaws with communicating with the doorbell camera. Anytime I get an alert that somebody is at my door the video feed never loads. If somebody rings the doorbell it will call to my phone but I get an error if I try to view the video or answer the call. I’ve emailed customer service about this and never heard back. Also, the hardware that rings the doorbell works maybe 30% of the time and when it does it’s a single half ding and not like it was when it was a simple basic doorbell. This all makes the camera absolutely worthless if I can’t use the core advertised features.

Not for those who want instant review of surveillance video
This app runs so slowly! It’s good at alerting you if it detected motion, but when you click the notification to review the footage, more than half of the time I get an error that it couldn’t load the video, causing me to either close the app and open it again, or to text my husband to look at the video because it never loads. When I want to view surveillance footage at a specific time rather than during a specific alert, nearly 100% of the time it gives me an error that it can’t show the video, or it shows me a very truncated video of what I want to look at. Overall, it’s good to have as general surveillance, but it is very horrible for those who want to instantly see or review any footage.

Rearranging devices does not work
Rearranging devices does not work or reverts back shorty after. Shared users cannot control alerts on individual camera basis. Would also like to set alerts for all cameras in location at the same time. Please load timeline by current time backwards, not midnight forward. It takes more than 5
