Getting better and better

Improving a bit all the time. It’s very good. Still rarely doesn’t connect with vehicle but it’s rare and easy fixes by quitting and going back in. Lucid is second to none.

Why

App needs to common sense. For example, the vehicle should not start just because you open the app, this is very inefficient and no other EV car app works that way. The app does not have a way to unlock the charging cable without unlocking the entire vehicle once the vehicle completed the charging cycle. Both should be independent and not trigger the vehicle to go into charging mode again once you open the app. App needs the ability to open the windows. When paying $150k for a vehicle, have comparable and better options when compared to a $30k EV. Let’s go Lucid…

Love the car, hate the app!

I love the Lucid Air Touring - I switched from the Tesla S & I do not regret my decision. I love that Lucid is an electric vehicle, but the technology isn’t invasive like Tesla. With that being said - the app is horrible!! It’s very slow and unresponsive, whether I’m away or standing next to my car. It has taken a long as TERM MINUTES to access my vehicle with the app…and honestly the key fob is only slightly better! If they could improve this technology, I would definitely give it a higher rating.

Problem

The car does not always recognize and respond to the app. No solution from the dealer yet.

Poorly developed

The app rarely wakes up vehicle - even deleting and reinstalling it does not resolve this issue. Hopefully they fix/improve the app sooner than later…

Getting better every update.

Good job Lucid team. The app has gotten better with every update. The car info loads up much faster and the cameras got clearer and load faster.

Needs improvement and speed. Issues needed to be fixed

After software update, mobile app doesn’t seem to work.

Vehicle offline notification appears and shows 0 available miles in battery “battery low. Charge now”

No. 1 battery hog

Wondered why my phone battery kept draining only to find Lucid being the top culprit even though I disable background updates and notifications and being nowhere near the car.

Not if you have an iPhone 17

This app is terrible if you have an iPhone 17 and it’s always hit or miss if it will unlock the doors. Needs improvement

Phone discounts

Every time I want to use my phone to unlock the car or pre ac the car does not work. The app does not load even when closing and re opening. Just like car key both need improvements for better connections.

Lucid: Get Your Act Together

Buggy app almost never works right. I can’t unlock or open the car. I can’t change the charging limit. I can’t turn on the AC before I get in the car. What a total disgrace. Never again.

Ruins my battery life and barely works

Slow and unreliable app, drains my battery.

Battery killer

Drains battery faster than any other app. Unoptimized trash.

Not reliable

Most of the time , i have a difficulty to walk up the car and some time end up not able to do . So can’t open the door or close the door over the internet. Unfortunately less feature compare to other companies and even the available features not working

Abandoned Air

Lucid has essentially abandoned all of its Air customers for its Gravity line that launched in mid-2025. Basic functionality like sending directions to the Air’s infotainment hasn’t worked for months. Once regular fixes for bugs and expanding features are now non-existent. If you own an Air, you’re on your own.

One of the Worst User Experienced of any Connected Car

Legit one of the most frustrating connected car app. Every thing is super slow and the app barely connects to the car.

For the love of god at least enable some notifications options. The app doesn’t even work in the background and I dont need a notification every time i close the app.

I soaked by the rain since the remote unlock wont work so I have to run to the car to push the handle in. And what do you know the car didnt even wake up so i want to push in every handle (app was open btw)

Bad software

If it’s not the slow response, it’s the failures to connect.

Slow, lacking features, not user friendly

I love my car but the app is poorly designed.

The icons are almost the same color as the background and are tiny. While you can usually see them indoors, if there’s any sunlight outdoors you can’t see anything. The app needs more color contrast and bigger icons.

Other features are just dumb. Why do I have to hit “confirm” every time I unlock the car? What are the chances someone takes out their phone, opens an app, finds the tiny unlock button, and accidentally pushes it? So why do I have to press the button twice every time?

The app also requires location access even when not using the app and will not let you proceed with registration unless you consent. But if you go back later and change to location only when using the app, it works fine. The privacy policy gives them the right to sell your location info, so it appears they’ve chosen selling your data over customer preference.

The app also gives you an error message every time you open it unless you have a credit card on file. I don’t use Lucid charging so there’s no reason they need my credit card. But it won’t go away unless you give them a card.

Sucks when the developers obviously don't drive Lucids.

Would be nice if the developers of this app actually drove a Lucid and understood how much their app sucks in the wild and how much potential it has. Oh well. Just call me another one time only Lucid owner. One and done.
