★★★★★ Absolute Game Changer for Mobile Video Editing!
LumaFusion is hands down the absolute gold standard for mobile video production. I ditched my desktop workflow for an Apple iPad and this app has completely blown me away with its power, speed, and reliability. It brings true desktop-level non-linear editing right into a touch-screen interface.
Playhead Jumps Before Cutting
I’ve been using LumaFusion on my iPad Air for quite a while, and overall I think it’s an excellent video editing app. However, there’s one intermittent bug that has become incredibly frustrating.
When I position the playhead exactly where I want to cut a clip and tap the Cut button, the playhead sometimes jumps a short distance to the left at the exact moment I tap. The cut is then made in the wrong place. It doesn’t happen every time, which makes it difficult to reproduce consistently, but it happens often enough to interrupt my workflow.
I’ve tried zooming in, waiting before tapping, using different touch techniques, and other troubleshooting steps, but nothing has solved the problem.
I hope the developers can investigate this issue because it’s the only thing preventing an otherwise outstanding app from being perfect.

VERY CLUMSY UI
Great iPad app but my god it’s 10 steps to do one simple thing- you want to speed up a track or cut it, tap here then here then go to this page then back. SIMPLIFY. There is no reason to go to a whole new page just to speed up a video. That makes no logical sense. Plenty of other video editing apps do most of the editing on the same page. Clean this app up

You can’t even do simple sound effects without paying a monthly fee or yearly fee! The app is such a scam! Think before you buy things that are $30.
Love LumaFusion
Great app. More full-featured than a lot of the others out there. Could use a little work on the speed ramping feature (only 6x speed up?) and the image stabilization is legitimately worthless, but other than that this app is awesome. Affordable, capable, works flawlessly on newer versions of iPhones and iPads. Weird thing lately though — the white playhead in the timeline overview strip directly below the preview monitor used to move in real-time as I navigated around the main timeline. It gave me live feedback about where I was in the project. Now it just sits there, and updates AFTER I finish navigating around. Seems like a bug. I use an iPad Pro (M4).

I paid a lot of money for this app and have been using it for years and now I have to pay a monthly subscription for what I have already been using and paid for. Disgusting and absolutely a rip off do not pay for this app

Now you can learn how and using an array of pro effects , coloring filters you’re way and experimenting with the audio visual tools available to those making blockbuster Movies , and with a lot of time spent learning and creating I’ll bet you can create a full Releasable film one this one App,…just wait and see ,….youll see ,…I’ll show all of you ….ha ha ha

Don’t use this for anything important, you’ll get to 99% on a project like me then the app will update and delete all your progress on every video in the library.

Should I switch
I have been using this app on my iPad and Mac for over a year and today all of the sudden the music files that have been working fine when trying to add the files or just listen to make sure that I have the right music it crashes the app. I mean you cannot do anything. I have been happy with the results from edits on my phone to my Mac to my iPad for over a year and then all of the sudden it will not work properly. Can you fix this issue LumiaFusion I really dont want to pay for another app just to edit my videos.

Desktop Class Video Editor
LumaFusion is probably the most powerful and versatile video editing application on the Apple Store.
It’s UI can be a bit cramped, but once you’ve navigated the learning curve and understand where tools/features are located - its essentially a professional desktop video editor.
It’s much easier to use on an iPad than an iPhone due to the additional screen real estate, but in a pinch I will edit on my iPhone 13 Pro Max.
It’s relatively rare that I use just LumaFusion start to finish on a project, unless I am away from my MacBook Pro or travelling without it. I use it to stabilise and colour grade/add LUT to DLOG footage shot from drones or action cameras before uploading to social media.
Worth every penny though

This app makes editing on the iPad fun. My Wish list: Snapshot to Layer button and a Snapshot keyboard shortcut.
Used to be Great
28 June 2026 - Have been a long-time user for 5 years, maybe longer. I’ve had random crashing issues for the last year or two. Really wish they’d get that sorted. They are starting to charge for more and more updates/features. Definitely NOT signing up for a subscription, ever. There will be a learning curve at first, but good product overall. Just don’t like the direction they seem to be heading. Sticking with them for now.

Lean, sleek and enough features to be my video editing workhorse across my iPhone, iPad and MacBook Pro. It’s quick with a really simple workflow. Some of the file handling is a little ‘quirky’ but other features more than make up for this.

buying all your additional functionality you are more expensive than davici resolve which trounces you in features, why cant you just be like blackmagic and offer amazing functionality for free and only have one price for purchasing advanced features.
