In short (because my actual review is super long) this camera is tough & reliable, the DEVs quickly correct any issues & it has actually gotten better over time.
I bought this for the ability to easily install outside without having to run wires or cords, and to save to an SD card without a subscription. I was randomly given a free trial to the subscription a few weeks after owning (I didn’t ask for it, I’ve not even provided a payment option, unlike most free trials that require you to cancel or be charged) and noticed how much smoother events loaded that week during the trial. They are somewhat slow to load at times from the SD card but since I’ve had it a while now, I’m thinking it’s the app trying to reach that point in the recording. If there are days worth of continuous recordings saved, naturally it will take longer to recall specific points in that data. The ai summaries of the events in the paid version were very specific & detailed. If you prefer a subscription I’d say it’s worth it. The hardware works great. I had to reset it once, not long after installing, because the live feed wouldn’t load. I had noticed it following motion & not returning to the set position in the beginning but that was soon corrected in an update. All of the issues I had experienced early on were fixed during updates. It is nice that the company continues to improve the app & promptly corrects any bugs or issues.
I live near the coast in Fl where we constantly experience strong winds, rain & storms. This device has withstood some strong winds. I watched a recording in this app of my potted hydrangea blowing over, it’s a fairly large plant in a big pot full of dirt, which obviously has some weight to it. I was surprised it blew over, I was even more surprised this camera lived to tell the tale with uninterrupted footage. I could tell from the shaky feed that it was getting jostled in the porch light socket pretty violently, but it held up & kept recording.
I was unsure of how I felt about this device at first but with continuous attention & improvements being made & the fact that it’s proven its reliability, I like it. I not only would recommend this camera, I HAVE recommended it to my friends & family. Big shout out to the DEVs! 🩶

Not A Fan
The good; the camera works, you can see what you aim at.
The bad; descriptions are awful. My wife is sometimes home alone at night. Every night there is motion detected that the camera sees someone. Every time I look, there is no one. When a car passes on the road in front of my home, description states car in driveway. It states when my cars move, except my cars are parked. It states when my green trash bin is moved, yet it’s stationary. If you want to see outside your home, buy it. If you’re away from your home or even at home and rely on the descriptions so you know what’s happening, do not purchase. I had to jump up many nights, grab my protection because a person was spotted outside, but no one is ever there. I emailed the company, I showed them screenshots and they couldn’t help.

Needs to improve
With SD card, it should also be looked at as a back up. If the burglar has a WiFi blocker the SD card should keep recording as a backup or it’s useless with a burglar. It also at times when there’s human motion it doesn’t detect.
POS
App updates every week but still doesn’t get better. It constantly tells me there is an orange cone on my front porch but there is NOTHING orange on my porch. I have a blue planter with ivy growing out of it. It once told me there was a lizard on my front porch; it was my cat. And it NEVER captures people coming and going. Yes, my detection settings are turned on for people. I’ve even tried turning off the settings for everything EXCEPT people, and it still doesn’t capture anyone. Customer service is worthless. I think it’s actually a bot. The only thing they’ve ever told me to do is change my settings. Very canned/scripted responses.

The camera is great, the app… takes so long spin spin spinnnnn then connects…. If there’s an emergency you’re screwed!!!
Offline a lot
Camera goes offline a lot even with dedicated extender close by and signals is almost never green.
Notification Sound!!!
Camera quality is good. However i wanted to install in my 2nd story but even with the angled mount it had too many blindspots. Also, the motion sensor alert sounds like every other notification I get and ignore. I have an iPhone so i cant change notification sounds on 3rd party apps. At least make it distinct sound. Please fix it.

Will pick up random vehicles going down the road but will not pick up people or vehicles in the driveway
Poor connectivity
The cameras aren’t that good it always takes so long to load. There’s a long cool down in between recordings. Even almost right on top of the router the connection isn’t 100%. Misses events all the time. The solar cam malfunctions and says low battery when it’s at 80%.

Every update this app does something always ends up in a huge mess. Tech support couldn’t care less that you can’t view the captured videos even though you pay $9.99 a month for them. Find a better camera..there’s much better out there. They just care about getting monthly subscriptions and once you do..you’re on your own. Most updates you can’t fix yourself. Waste of time & money. If I could only leave thumbs down or zero stars I would have. Do better Luna because you’re losing good customers!!! Greedy company imo. Avoid

Connectivity issues
App takes forever to load my live view even with good wi-fi connection. It works great when it does finally load which is every so often. Re-starting it helps sometimes.

This is a great equipment, and I love it.

It won’t stay connected and turned one the box says it works on the wifi we have but it starts to connect and shows on the wifi it is connected but the camera won’t stay on
Worthless without paid subscription
Bought from TikTok shop where they repeatedly misrepresent that a subscription is not required. It isn’t but basically worthless without one. The only thing you can use for is a live feed, to spread with someone or sound alarm. The thumbnails for activity are so small and you cannot expand or access the video.

Camera works notifications don’t
The camera works great but the event notifications are all over the place even with the activity zones I’m getting notifications from cars driving by.

Refuses to refund money when requested within the 7 day timeframe listed in section 17 for annual subscriptions. Also included in a subscription with out my consent.
Control fail!!
The arrows used to control the camera view does not work at all despite updating to the new version. It skips recording some movements completely. At night, it does not record despite the light being on. I am super disappointed with it
Definitely worth the experience
I love it so much I got two and they’re both really good my back porch light have a mind of its own … but Luna representative told me to call back when I get home and they’ll walk me through the process
