IOS 17
App trava e não funciona no IOS 17
Abandonware
It used to work, but Roland has exited the business and all their software is going obsolete. The remote app crashes on modern versions of iPadOS, the REAC driver does not run on modern versions of Windows, and the V-Mixer MIDI implementation is not publicly documented for anybody else to write control software.
The serial interface is documented, but it’s much less bandwidth with much less useful information than the MIDI interface, and also the mixing console’s firmware is buggy. The device does not comply with the specification.

A great idea gone bad and unsupported
I’ve used the app for years with an ad-hoc network. The M480 remote is now completely unreliable. It works in part but is so buggy it has become unusable. Roland has completely left the sound mixer business and those of us who invested tens of thousands of dollars in what used to be be a flagship are left with zero support. Roland has left a nasty taste in our mouths.

IOS 16 problema
Por favor atualizar o app não conecta e trava no iOS 16
No longer connects via ad hoc
I can no longer get the M-480 to connect once I’m on the WiFi.
ABSURDOOO!!!!
Lixo!!! ABSURDOOO!!!!!!

Obrigado
Muito Obrigado por atualizar o aplicativo!!!!
catch up with the rest...
Needs access to the delay time on outputs otherwise it's useless when setting up a multi speaker system in a theatre. Take a look at the Yamaha and Digico apps...
Can't connect to the desk anymore since iPad updates... Tells me the desk is there but will not connect in ad hoc or through a router... But I guess you'll do nothing as you've dropped the M480 and only care about the M5000 now...

IOS 10 fix!
Please update to work with IOS 10!
iOS 10
It is absolutely frustrating when you go to use an app that you have used a 1000 times and find that this app no longer works. It is even more frustrating when you try to use it for an event and it no longer works. A company such as Roland should really be on top of apples iOS updates to make sure that the products they put on the market place actually work.

IOS 10 support missing...
Hopefully this will catch up with Apple on current IOS. Worked great on IOS 9. Would really like to move ahead with the technology and maintain functionally. Currently carrying an old ipad for just this one function. All my other vendors have made the update.
Not supported in iOS 10
Before updating my iPad to iOS 10, I would have rated 5 stars. Unfortunately I updated only to find that the app will no longer connect to the sound board. If you depend on this app, do not update to iOS 10! I'm hoping Roland updates the app so that people like me can continue to benefit from this great app.

This app is great
A change I would make (not exactly sure if on other device but with me) is when you hit solo it should be able to hear that soloed channel via headphones into iPad. Other than that it is Great.
Great Remote
Use this for checking levels around our auditorium and diagnosis when FOH, it's very quick, with minimal lag. Only negative is no access to the mute groups.
For the wifi dongle we use the Netgear WNA1100 N150

Fantastic addition to M-480
This is a great app...incredibly responsive. Found I had to put it in ad-hoc mode to avoid drop outs on wifi but not a big problem in our venue.
Some odd quirks...why do you want to clear solo on a Mobile app when you are likely to be remote from the desk but overall brilliant!
Slightly annoyed that you have to buy the Roland wifi dongle....why can't it work with a bog standard USB dongle but hey ho!
Have found it really useful when tweaking the mix for our church bands using IEMs

Great app
Thank you Roland for bringing the app out. It's made the m480 so much better. However is it possible to have more integration with dynamics control?
Works well, but there are some problems
This app works well once you get it to connect with the M-480 via wireless. I use ad hoc mode, and it was fairly straightforward. Just make sure you have the latest firmware update for the M-480 installed, or it won't work.
Once it connects, the app does a good job controlling the M-480, but there are some issues in the way this app works - or doesn't work - with the other apps on your iPad. The main problem is that the wireless connection disconnects if ANYTHING else happens on the iPad. This includes going into AutoLock, any kind of alert from another application, a message, just about anything will break that connection.
I'm hoping that Roland will improve this app to address these problems. You shouldn't have to fix the connection every time you get an alert. I put the iPad into "Do Not Disturb" mode and turn off AutoLock manually, but there are some notifications that get through anyway, so that breaks the connection.
Roland, if you're paying attention, please consider the following improvements:
1. Option to disable AutoLock in the app.
2. Prevent disconnection when there is an alert or notification from another app
3. Allow the app to stay connected even when the iPad goes into AutoLock, as when a magnetic cover engages it.
Aside from those issues, this app works very well, and it's a major asset for the M-480. It's nice to be able to test and control the mixer board without having to run back and forth!
