Unreliable
I have been using this app for five years and every update has only worsened the glaring issues. Unreliable in connectivity, access, and accuracy.
App update is terrible
I'm not sure what Machias did to "upgrade" their banking systems but the app leaves a lot to be desired. It was much better and more user friendly before the big overhaul. Transactions are more difficult to find, the descriptions are awful, and nothing is in order.
It’s ok
It works but you can’t even log in to the credit card portal through the app. Fix it! Also the design could use some improvement.
Connection Error….every time
I’ve update the app, restarted the phone, checked my settings, uninstalled and reinstalled the app, still same issue. This issue was on iOS 13 and still iOS 14. Please fix the app. Android doesn’t have this problem.
Overly complex
They took something and instead of simplifying it added many more vague links drop downs and the real downside is it was not even fully functional for two days, crashing on day two.
The upside is the people on the help side very kind understanding. Provided great service for an app and web site that went from really good to overly complex and hard to initially navigate.

Much to like about this app....
...it can do most of the critical things with ease. With more and more done from my tablet, I’d appreciate a way to add payees on the fly, and to quickly double check the last time a payee was paid/amount, (without having to scroll through all transactions). But it does most of what I want, well.
The most convenient banking in Maine!
I've been using this app since the day I opened a checking account at Machias Savings Bank and it's exceptional! As an employee of this bank, I wanted to learn how its products and services work and the MSB Mobile has provided me with nothing but flexibility and reliability! From depositing checks and paying bills to transferring funds and simply checking my balance! I wish it could also make breakfast and order pizza!
