Great app; from Endomondo days
I want Endomondo back!
These trackers generally all do the same thing so in that respect, Map My Run does it’s job.
However, I really do miss the simplicity of the analytics provided by Endomondo.
After my run, it had a simple chart showing the duration of each km with the accumulative time running alongside it in the most easy to find and easy to read manner.
It also has a hare and a tortoise so you could see which was your fastest and slowest kms at a glance. Please bring that to Map My Run.
You could then add a simple button to open up more detailed analytics.
Was frustrated to see after my last run that I had completed 5.08 kms, but rather than showing my time at the 5km mark, it skipped that and only showed 5.08. A small thing, but Endomondo was not like that! While it can’t come back, surely you can put the best parts of the old app into your current app.
Thank you.

I have now started to transition to the Nike Run Club app.
I get so much more from a free app than I do from MapMyRun.
As previously stated, Endomondo was my favourite tracking app. Aside from the easy to read analytics, Endomondo also had badges for achievements, for example, my fastest 1km, my fastest 5km, my longest run, etc. I could click on these badges and it will provide the details of that run. Under Armpur bought Endomondo and ran it alongside MapMyRun. They then retired Endomondo and didn’t transfer the best parts of Endomondo too MapMyRun.
However, Nike Run Club is free and has these features.
Another great feature is i can set Nike Run Club to my target distance and it will stop tracking once I reach my goal.
This helps with consistency in identifying progress. MapMyRun does not have such a feature.
Finally I note that when using other apps at the same time, MapMyRun Run records time and distances differently in a way that makes distances longer at a longer time. 5km on MapMyRun is 100 metres further than what it is on Nike Run Club.
While I don’t know which of the two is more accurate, there are just too many advantages and benefits of using another app rather than MapMyRun and on that basis, I have reduced my score to 1 star and added this additional edit to my review.
