Hey Bill! 👋🏻 We are currently A/B testing multiple onboarding flows and sorry that you didn’t like the Marker Pro Trail Flow. We want to give users the chance to experience Pro, see how it impacts their day to day life and if they see the value, stay on Pro. You can cancel anyways while keeping your Pro for the rest of your trail, and the app will remind you to cancel before it renews. It‘s an A/B test, we‘ll look into the data how people use the app, but also your feedback is valuable too. Thats what thousands of videographers love about Marker: It evolves with community driven requests. So if you have any more feedback, feel free to reach out though the contact methods in the app! Unskippable ad upon launch
Upon first opening the app, we had to sit and watch this annoying ad pitching the product we clearly were already interested in. It was unskippable, and every time we restated the app to try and get rid of it, it would just restart. So on set, we had to sit and watch this horrible ad before we could even get to the main interface. What an abysmal design.
Thank for the very awkward and unprofessional impression that was made.

Not as easy as advertised.
When I tried to download the file, change it to a .EDL file I couldn’t get it to work in Premier Pro or DaVinci resolve. I spent about an hour with other people trying to figure it out. Nothing worked.
So far, unless they fix it to just work, very unhappy.

Hey 👋🏻 Sorry that you‘ve ran into issues. You most likely downloaded the Legacy Version of the Companion app. Please download the companion app from markerforcreators.com which gives you the one click import. There you will also find an extensive tutorial about the Companion app. You can also enable legacy mode in the advanced settings of the app, to enable the .edl export - if you prefer importing markers manually (not recommended for Premiere Pro). Out bug system didn‘t catch that but neither did any other users report such a behavior - please reach out via the mail in the settings of the app for us to look into it. Die beste App für Video Editoren & Film Maker
Jetzt bin ich durch Zufall wieder auf die App gestoßen & die Paywall ist verschwunden (man hat 12h pro Monat free) Mega! Hab sie direkt ausprobiert und bin Mega begeistert! Endlich mal ein Tool das wirklich hält was es verspricht und einen sehr guten Mehrwert bietet. Dafür werde ich gerne Bezahlen!
Cool ist auch das man sich nicht anmelden muss und alles manuell machen kann. (Das einzigste worauf man dabei verzichtet ist die direkte Synchronisation mit der Desktop App)
Das einzige was mir noch einfällt um das Produkt auf ein neues Level zu bringen wäre eine Monitor App mit den Markern Implementiert. Live Bild, Waveform mit einstellbaren Limits die farblich hervorgehoben werden & die Marker. Mehr bräuchte ich nicht um als Solo Filmmaker alles für mich essenzielle an den Fingerspitzen zu haben!
Macht weiter so!!!

Hey Danke dir Viments für das tolle Feedback :) Freut mich, dass es dann doch geklappt hat 😁 Und dass es dir deinen Workflow vereinfacht. Als ich dein Review gelesen hab hatte ich schon am Update von heute gearbeitet, und ich wusste schon, dass da ggf. eine Enttäuschung für dich drin sein könnte: Man muss jetzt einen Account anlegen um die app zu nutzen (Pro user können den Login Screen für eine begrenzte Zeit Skippen). Das liegt einfach daran, dass alle Userdaten jetzt Accountgebunden gespeichert sind, weil das zuvor zu vielen Fehlern geführt hat. Der Login war ja freiwillig trotzdem hatten fast alle User sich einen Account angelegt - unsere Haupt Features benötigen ja einen Login. Es ist auch eine Vorbereitung auf künftige Features wo Accounts zwingend nötig sind. Ich hoffe dass du den Workflow mit Account mal ausprobieren wirst :) Falls du Feedback etc hast kannst du mir immer gerne per Mail oder in unserem Community Discord schreiben! Beste Grüße - Jona

Hey 👋🏼 Thanks for your Feedback! All Cameras tutorials have a Rec Run (Manual) Tutorial at the top and a Timecode Sync Tutorial below. The app currently works via time of day timecode so it doesn’t need to be jammed to sync with your footage. Just set your syncing device to time of day mode (aka. the current time) and it will work seamlessly without needing to sync the app to your jammer. Future Versions of Marker will support external jammers & time sources. If you have any more Feedback feel free to reach out! :)
