They ruined this app. It used to be good for checking your lottery tickets and now I can’t even do that because they want you to try to gamble online what a shame
Scanner
Compared to the old scanner as well as overall application, the new one is nearly impossible to use. The scanner appears to use a different camera on certain phones and so it never focuses at all and even when in perfect focus. It only seems to work when set against a dark background in order to get it to scan instead of just being able to center it in the scanning frame and having it scan like it used to. It’s such an unnecessary complication from what would likely be an attempt to upgrade. Maybe the only goal was to suck more money from people via online play.

Login and Second factor authentication plus scanned id and SSN to use Scanner … Overkill
Latest updates to the app have gone a little overboard. I frequently used the app to check winning/ losing tickets, but to have to log in with 2nd factor authentication, and providing proof of identity with scanned ID and SSN just to use the scanner? Ridiculous!!!
July 27, 2026 update made this useless
I just got the update and after signing in finally (took 10 minutes) I have nothing to show for it. All it says is "welcome (and my name)", and if you hit the X on the top right hand side it goes back to the sign in page. Didn't it just welcome me? You would think so. Now I can't scan any lottery tickets. You would think they would have tested this a little bit more. iPhone 14 Pro.

I have found this app helpful in the past as a quick way to check tickets.
The new update is apparently meant to push online gambling, and forces creating an account to use it. As part of the process you must provide your Social Security Number.
I just want to check if the ticket I bought won anything. I will absolutely not be creating an account.

You can look up the winning numbers.
But the scanner? Well it is terrible. It only works occasionally. Why? What’s the point of the scanner when it does not work most of the time?
Oh … notifications. They pop-up up on my phone. Click on it and it brings me to the app. Not to a notification link. Just the app.
With the money the lottery makes, you should be able to hire someone who knows how to code. Not a low bid state vendor. (Which I am sure was hires considering how the app performs).

I haven’t been able to login to the app in Months. Not sure if it’s a glitch, but it signs me in and then immediately logs me out. And then says network connection error , please try shins later. Is there a fix??
