Great for info, but can be a pain as a reporter
I love this app, it is easy to use, and it is an excellent source of information recording high school sports. One major complaint I have as a reporter: any time you leave the app, you have to go through a process to resume scoring. It was not always this way but it has been for the last couple of years. As a dedicated live scorer, I often have to take pictures, report on social media during games, and it is not effortless to go back into the app to continue scoring. I wish this part of the app would go away and just allow me to get right back into scoring. During football I have to go out multiple times during a game to report on social media and it truly is a pain in the rear.

Get rid of the ads!!!
It’s terrible, literally pop up every 5seconds making it very hard to view stats when you are constantly having to hit the X button and half the time you miss the X and it take you to the ad. Get rid of the ad pop ups!

The app works good, however, a subscription to watch live games only ever takes me to NFHS when I click “Live.” What am I paying for on maxpreps if it redirects me to NFHS? Why can’t it keep the livestream on maxpreps, or let me watch on NFHS since I am subscribed to maxpreps.
Very good app, could use some tweaks
Very good app! I usually do some reporting for my school, basketball. Football works too, but when it comes to baseball, soccer, etc., the scoring just doesn’t work. My second complaint isn’t all that much of a deal, but i feel like having a limited amount of team sports you can follow is a bit redundant, especially if you are “loyal”, per se, to multiple schools. However, those two complaints are the only ones i have, so this app is very useful regardless!

20th century Newspapers were more accurate reporting box scores and statistics from High School events than MaxPreps.
Not good
First of all, nobody wants to create yet another log-in in this day and age. If there was ever an app crying out for “Log-in with …”, it’s this one, a high school sports app. Second, I’ve never seen an app use as much data as this one. I have auto play “off” for videos, and it’s still somehow chewing up MBs like crazy.

My grandson is a junior and moved to Whitewright, TX. He’s the starting point guard and the app does not let me add him for basketball - cause the database doesn’t list his name, I guess. He is listed as an athlete in football for Whitewright. Basketball is his main sport. There is no apparent way to communicate with anyone at MaxPrep.

No one needs updates at 4:30 am on the West Coast. What genius thinks is a good idea to update rankings and send alerts at 7:30 am on Monday morning on the East Coast, let alone 4:30 am on the West Coast?

When you click on the articles, it’s just a blank page. The articles won’t even pop up anymore in the app.

Please update this app. It’s been unreadable for quite a while now. I couldn’t find anything on Support to file a recommendation. There’s ads or whatever that is blocking half the page. Being where I live, this app is of great interest to me. I miss using it

This app costs money to favorite a team🤯they should just let us do it for free and to watch a game it also costs money, can they just let us watch it for free
