Dear Ndkskwndndj, mccPILOTLOG is the legacy app that started in 2009. We have indeed stopped updating as of 2019, but the app continues to run. Depending on the time of purchase, you have paid around 0,5 USD per month. We believe this is not a rip off but a fair pricing. Furthermore, you can take advantage of our grandfathering offer to migrate your license from the legacy app to the new CrewLounge platform, and join 85K crew members.
Absolute Crap

Dear 999Capt, the Vietnam office is responsible for cloud development, not for support. Customer support is our top priority and we regret that you had a bad experience with us. We were unable to meet your expectations. We are drawing lessons from this to improve our services. Fly safe! #mccpilotlog
Sham company
Don’t give these guys a dime. It’s not like the old software was very good to start with. It’s buggy and rarely functions properly. I’m sure crew lounge is garbage also
Mcc not focused on the core product.

Dear Pilot! We have offices in Asia and Europe and work 24/7. We work as hard as we can to support our customers as soon as possible. We reply to most tickets within 48 hours. #Crewlounge
Dissatisfied
They kindly offered me the chance to pay again however, and continue paying via subscription. Please F%*!off MccPilotLog.
MccPilotLog is clunky and had me searching through their manual a few times for stuff that should have been presented a little better.
Syncing wasn’t reliable too, though, that may have been due to company server. I never could get my planned schedule to sync with my iPad or iPhone.
Every time the program started on my PC, it would list various run-time errors.
Can’t recommend.
I do hope they leave a nice response below. A cheery little note offering me another “ticket number” would make my day.
Terrible.

Hi Pilot! Do send us an email straight from the app for any issues you have encountered, we will be happy to investigate and help you out! #MCC
Don’t even waste your time
Response from developer
Hi, your lifetime license for mccPILOTLOG can be transferred to the new app, the new subscription does not apply to existing users. At your service. MCC
Pay for twice
Response from developer
Hi Dan! I understand your concern. I would love to further explain this change in subscription made by the company. If you had sent us an email before, you can return here with your ticket ID# or contact us and refer ticket ID#122636 on your email. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. #crewlounge
Worst logbook app on the market
This app is the most confusing, convoluted thing I’ve ever used. No customer support and auto generated responses that say they’ll get back to you in weeks. It’s a joke.
Save your time and money and go with ANY other option.
Response from developer
Hi Pilot! We kindly ask for your ticket ID# so we could trace what happened to your ticket. We continue to support this software so we will investigate what happened. Looking forward to hear from you soon. #Crewlounge
Go with anything else!

Hi Brady! We regret the inconveniences this has caused you. Kindly send us your ticket IDs so I can check this conversion request. We look forward to hearing from you soon. #crewlounge
Total Scam
Response from developer
Hi Pilot! There's a greater reason on why we developed CrewLounge. In fact, we have this answered in the FAQ page of the PILOTLOG site. We would love to also share more details on this. Kindly send us an email in reference to ticket#108598. We look forward to hearing from you soon. #crewlounge

Overall great software
Response from developer
Hi Mark! We truly appreciate your kind words and we try our best to provide you with the best software and support. Thanks a lot! -CrewLounge
Not intuitive, poor Mac support
Update: Mac version still not opening and new flights not appearing on the list of flights when saved and synced.
I want a refund. Can the developers advise how that can be done.
Response from developer
Hi Gerxt! Thank you for your report. We take your comments as an opportunity to improve our apps. May we kindly ask you to send us an email or your ticket ID # if you had already sent us one with a list of all items that bother you. We'll definitely work on getting this fixed for you. Thank you in advance. MCC Team
“LIFETIME” Subscription
My “Enterprise” edition guaranteed that I would NEVER pay a subscription fee, would be able to receive updates for “lifetime” and MCC made these a big selling point while trying to differentiate themselves from LogTen. Cross-platform apps and cloud sync made this very appealing.
Now, after ages of waiting for the much-hyped version 5.0, I open my laptop to a message that informs me MCCPILOTLOG is now ABANDONWARE. The new and “different” CrewLounge app is subscription based and, according to ALL the reviews on both Apple and Android, basically a useless beta.
There is a “special offer” for lifetime users like myself to pay a few months (oops, check again. 3 YEARS of monthly fees of only €2.99!!) subscription fee to get the same “lifetime” guarantee again. Even this has been mishandled. There are no clear instructions on how to go about this, how to port the current logbook over, whether the MCC app will continue to work for any period of time, how long tropics “special offer” will be available etc. It’s a disaster.
Customer service took well over a week to reply with a cut and paste answer that still wasn’t clear. They are obviously overwhelmed with complaints.
Finally, stay far away from this app and their new replacement with monthly fees. Unscrupulous business practices, unusable product being rushed to users, poor customer service (which was fantastic a few years ago), and just another company changing to the subscription model. Extremely disappointed.
MCC Pilotlog/Crewlounge Pilotlog is a Ripoff
I purchased MCC Pilot Log Enterprise Edition (Lifetime) 5 months ago because I had heard good reviews and the company’s web site pitched how there were no subscription fees. It cost me about $81.09 after the EUR conversion. The MCC Pilot Log web site states “We do not run a subscription plan. We have 3 editions with one-time fee for life-time use. The basic STD Edition is even FREE.”
During these 5 months I used the software, but suddenly the airline interface stopped working. I went to the support page to log a support ticket and was greeted with the following message:
“IMPORTANT NOTE : 10 years after the first release, and 2600 changes and fixes later, it was time to rebuild mccPILOTLOG on new fundaments.
mccPILOTLOG is still available to existing customers. New customers can still purchase mccPILOTLOG, if they want. However, we are no longer updating mccPILOTLOG. Instead, the team is focusing on the new logbook. We recommend all pilots to migrate to our new app CrewLounge PILOTLOG !”
After my initial disbelief and further investigation I found the FAQ page for people like me who had just purchased what was sold as a lifetime license. Below is an excerpt from the company’s FAQ page:
” I paid for mccPILOTLOG, do I have to pay again ?
We keep our word : your license for mccPILOTLOG remains valid ! You have paid for a lifetime use of mccPILOTLOG, so you can continue to using mccPILOTLOG as long as you want. We do not terminate mccPILOTLOG, your logbook continues to run. We do not terminate support, you continue to receiving the same support as before.
We only terminate further updating and bug fixing. Our team is now focusing on the CrewLounge AERO Suite, a completely new platform created with the latest coding technologies and security protocols. CrewLounge PILOTLOG, as part of the CrewLounge AERO Suite, is the new pilot logbook to replace mccPILOTLOG. CrewLounge PILOTLOG is subscription based, we do no longer offer one-time payments.
We invite all pilots with a lifetime license for mccPILOTLOG to migrate and enjoy the new CrewLounge AERO Suite ! We certainly understand that you are reluctant to switching to a subscription plan. We have GOOD news for you : You don’t !
Contrary to our competitors, that either ceased to exist, or that canceled all license keys and forced users into a subscription plan, we offer grandfathering rights to all users of mccPILOTLOG ! You can now migrate your lifetime license from mccPILOTLOG to CrewLounge PILOTLOG with a one-time contribution ! Buy 3 years and get Lifetime ! No subscription, no extra charges ! We will also pay the VAT for you !
That’s true ! All pilots with a lifetime license for mccPILOTLOG can now transfer their license to the new CrewLounge PILOTLOG application and be excluded from subscriptions, for lifetime! This offer is limited in time !
As a bonus, you receive a free 1-year license for the popular calendar app CrewLounge CONNECT (value 12.00 EUR) ! And, as an extra bonus, all PRO users (mccPILOTLOG) can now free upgrade to ENT (CrewLounge PILOTLOG) without being charged extra !
So, here is our offer :
• purchase 3 years of the new CrewLounge PILOTLOG software (*)
• get 10% immediate discount (for 3-year orders)
• get another 20% discount (that is, we will pay the VAT applicable to your country)
• transfer your Lifetime license to CrewLounge PILOTLOG (be excluded from subscriptions)
• upgrade to a higher Edition ENT or the new ENT+ (even if you are on PRO today)
• get 1 year free use of our popular roster app CrewLounge CONNECT
This is a temporary offer, we hold the right to terminate this offer at any time !
(*) Pilots that purchased mccPILOTLOG in 2019, can upgrade with paying only 1-year subscription to CrewLounge AERO.”
Essentially, the lifetime software I just purchased will not be updated any more. Therefore, the airline interface will not be fixed. In other words, my software is now useless to me.
But wait, I checked out their upgrade offer and found that I will need to pay for 3 years up front to get the lifetime subscription that I already paid for 5 months ago. The price is 2.99 EUR/month or about $3.35/month as of today. A total of about $120.00. Believe it or not, I actually considered just paying the money and moving on with my life. So I downloaded the trial version of the new CrewLounge Pilot Log, imported my data and tried to download my schedule with the airline interface. Of course – it doesn’t work.
Overall, my experience with this company is extremely negative. I would not recommend MCC Pilot Log or CrewLounge Pilot Log. You will be disappointed and will end up having to pay for a real logbook program from a reputable company. Good luck folks. Learning is a change in behavior as a result of experience
Worthless on a Mac
I don’t typically write reviews, but felt it appropriate for this.
Like many others I was looking for a platform that wasn’t a subscription and so I decided to try mcpilotlog. I immediately regretted this decision.
Trying to add logbook entries was an absolute pain. The interface is the farthest thing from user friendly; think high school web design homework.
After 30 minutes of getting nowhere I emailed them regarding my frustrations and they suggested I pay to have a company enter my logbook in (why should your product be so difficult that you have to suggest customers pay other companies to use the product for you?), or more interestingly suggested I make as few entries as possible, by tallying up my total time in each type aircraft I’ve flown and making those my entries. Several glaring issues with that... it doesn’t help for the several flights I make every day in the charter environment that would need to be entered. I’m still the one tallying up my times in each aircraft, which is part of why we’re all interested in an electronic logbook-so we don’t have to scour years of logbook entries to tally our time in type etc. but rather have the product we pay for do it. Additionally that wouldn’t allow for me to break down my time in type (night, ifr, pilot flying, monitoring, pic, sic, etc.) essentially rendering that suggestion as useless as the interface itself.
Another odd issue I had with this product was pop-up boxes with Hebrew “yes” and “no” buttons... they offered no helpful solution to that.
The last odd remark I received in the email was as follows: “Whatever other software you choose, there will be bugs, issues and shortcomings. More important is the support you get from the Helpdesk.”
I’m not sure about everyone else, but I’d rather pay for a good product, than a poor product. Every successful company has a great product, and often times the customer service isn’t great. This company has a customer service team that is determined to work with you, but has a poor product and so far has not offered any solution to my lack of satisfaction that doesn’t involve a considerable amount of inconvenience & further frustration, which in my opinion isn’t a suitable solution.
They’ve offered to set up a remote support session lasting 30-60 minutes, and made sure to mention that they offer “Free” customer service (who doesnt..?) and free financially doesn’t mean it won’t cost time & effort for something that shouldn’t be an issue in the first place.
I have no intentions of setting up that remote session. I’ve opted to part with my $80 that they won’t refund, and intend to use my influence as an active flight instructor & connected pilot to deter people from this product. I imagine they’d make more by offering to refund frustrated customers, and proving their dedication to their clients than they would by leaving their clients frustrated and them going out and deterring potential customers from purchasing the product.
Pros:
A kind & driven customer service team
Cons:
No good solutions were offered by the customer service team
The entire Mac interface
Spend your money elsewhere folks.

Hi Pilot! Thank you for your detailed review on the software. I understand how you feel the software is not to your liking, using a software has its own learning curve. As for the interface, perhaps we miss to properly state that you can use the software, add flights and import digital data in it even without buying the license. It has been stated in the order website that we strongly recommend to first download, install and test the software PRIOR to purchasing any of the paid editions. Make sure the software meets your expectations and runs fine on your devices. Your feedback has been noted and we will treat this as a challenge to improve more. You being an instructor indeed is a great tool to influence others, we hope that we could change your perception on the software and serve you better in the future. -MCC
Completely useless
Response from developer
Hi Pilot! Really sorry to hear you still suffer from these issues stated. Kindly email the support for any issues you encounter with the software so we can help you out. We look forward to receiving an email from you. -MCC
Logbook without a membership
Edit:
Since writing this review I’ve had problems with updating my desktop database with what’s on my mobile when it’s clearly logged and successfully updating; but the main problem is the lack of coherent tech support with timely responses. Some responses are often days apart without anything useful.
Response from developer
Hi Pilot! Thank you for your feedback, we appreciate your suggestion and we definitely take all of these in consideration. Indeed synchronization will be improved, in fact we are currently working on a cloud based version which will be released soon. You can email support as well for any other improvement suggestions you have. We are excited to hear more of these from you. -MCC
Impressive
MccPilotLog is exactly what I needed. I bought the Enterprise version and worked on my logbook on four devices...not a single problem. I did need to modify my backup .cvs files, but after reviewing the tutorials (recommend), it was very simple.
My options for electronic logbooks on my Mac where limited...I had already purchased a competing product TWICE (Yosemite killed the first version) and the latest version changed everything to a annual subscription. My logbook would run me $2200 before I retired...no thanks. Having the ability to run Mcc on my iphone, MacBook, iMac and my Surface (Win10) was huge!
No regrets, money well spent.
