This app lies to you
Anyone with basic math comprehension can tell you that the tip amount will always round up. The way it has you verify your phone number and email three or four times before logging you in every time you place an order feels underhanded and like you are trying to get more information from me than I realize I will never give this more than a one star.

Charges but order won’t submit .
Tried the app
I usually went through the browser for this, but it said the app would be good and I could get discounts, I placed an order, redeemed 100 points and when I tried paying it took the points away and said I had to pay for the redeemed food. So now I’m down 100 points and wondering why I even downloaded this to begin with if it was going to act like that.

App Doesn’t Work
Went to order something and the app glitched. I refreshed the app and my phone, it still didn’t fix. It also doesn’t allow you to go ahead and pay
Issue with Promo and Verification
I use this online (web) version and it’s been good. It offered me 10% to download the app and the app doesn’t work. It fails and goes blank when I go to do the verification of my phone number
Scanning QR code to add points
The QR code is only to open the the website and not to add points to the app account. If I could give zero stars for this, I would give negative stars. How do I add the points for a $89.76 order in restaurant to my account?
Teeny tiny pre-populated tax without user consent
Be super careful that you will be automatically charged tips without user agreement. You are even NOT aware of it b/c that “tip” item is displayed so teeny tiny and you won’t think that’s editable.
Takes money and doesn’t give the restaurant your order
This app took over $50 for my order and didn’t give the restaurant the order or money! I can’t get the food I wanted and now they are saying it’ll take 7+ days to be returned?? Absolutely ridiculous don’t use this app!! I know I never will again!
Ripoff
In addition to the scam convenience fee they force a 20% tip on every purchase you make. This is despite the fact that you have to go pick it up yourself. The new business model “steal what you can when you can“. On top of that, when I got to the restaurant to pick up the food I learned at the restaurant provided weekly specials, which were not identified on meal key in any way shape or form. As a result between the convenience fee, the force tip, and the failure to apply the offered discount. My bill was $20 more expensive than had. I just called the restaurant directly. In my opinion, that is no small amount. Interestingly when I mention this to the restaurant, they said I should call and not use mealkey. take that for what it’s worth.

Watch out the tips!
Watch out where tips are! The default choice is 15%. And the tips choice is at the very very end, after the total 🤣. It is really easy to miss the tip choice.

Frequent Payment Errors
Tried ordering online multiple times and each time I receive a “Sorry Payment Failed” error message. I am using valid cards with the correct information and enough funds. Frustrating. Do not recommend - just go to the restaurant instead. Less hassle and you’ll get to eat.

Why won’t you let me verify my phone number
Works but is frustrating
The app is alright once you can get the restaurant into it. Signed up from local Chinese food restaurant, via their web. Downloaded the app thinking that I would be able to add the restaurant to a favorite or see my order status and nothing showed up in the app other than order history. It’s very frustrating you have to click a link from a webpage or scan a QR code and can’t save the restaurant to your account to make it easier to order from in the future.

Doesn’t work
I can’t change my restaurant to one that I want to order from. What’s the point
No accountability
The app uses DoorDash drivers- who can then steal your food and there is no way to cancel or report them. Don’t use this. There isn’t any way to contact support or ask for help, and DoorDash won’t do anything because it’s third party. Absolutely useless.
Mediocre
I had a difficult time ordering. It was asking for my email address on the checkout page, but ai received an error message that my email was being used for another account. I literally made up an email address in order for it to work. They also don’t show a map of where the delivery vehicle is. I really like that feature. I am not in a place that is easy to find, and I meet delivery drivers on the sidewalk. That is going to be extremely difficult to do now. I doubt their delivery times in the app are at all accurate. I won’t use this app again.

You have to scan a QR code to add a restaurant before you order from that restaurant? How does that make any sense?

This app is useless without a QR code from a restaurant. You can’t search local restaurants in the app.
