Hate it! Been hated it. And still do.

No good review from me. I’m mad at myself for still dealing with Mecu. But now that I’ve found better I will be transitioning to First Financial Credit Union. Had to find better before I could switch.

I really like the Apps features but I am very disappointed that they got rid of the function to make member to member transfers through the app. It is time consuming and frustrating to have to go into the branch to make these transfers. It is not always convenient for me to go to a branch to make this transaction.

Most useful App.

I love being able to see what’s going on in my bank accounts in real time. Someone had used my bank card & I saw it within a few hours. I called the card company & they were able to stop payment before it went through. It’s so convenient. It makes me wonder how I survived without it.

Old need an update bad

App does not work

I am rating this app one star due to ongoing issues with accessing my accounts. For the past month, I have been unable to view my accounts through the app or on the desktop. Initially, I assumed there was an update in progress, but after almost a month of persistent issues, it’s evident something is seriously wrong. Every time I log in I receive an error message stating “accounts unavailable”

Upon contacting customer service at MECU, I was informed that my accounts are in good standing with no issues on their end. They created a ticket and escalated it to their in-house desktop techs, who unfortunately couldn’t resolve the issue. The problem was then passed on to the developers of the app who are still working to fix it. Apparently, similar issues have affected other customers, with resolutions typically within 48 hours. However mine has persisted for a month without any solution in sight.

As a result I’m unable to access my accounts via the mobile app and desktop platform. I have resorted to using the telephone teller for account access, which is far from convenient. The entire point of having an app is convenience, but clearly, that concept was lost somewhere along the way. If I wanted to call in like it’s 1995, I wouldn’t have bothered downloading the app in the first place. This ongoing problem has been incredibly frustrating and severely impacts my ability to manage my finances conveniently. I hope the developers can address this issue promptly and restore full functionality to both the app and desktop platforms, as this ongoing inconvenience undermines the purpose of having these tools available. If this isn’t resolved soon, I will have no choice but to close my accounts and take my business elsewhere.

Unreliable

This app is unreliable 90 percent of the time everytime I login it’s always a technical issue or error or they’re always updating this is such an inconvenience to not be able to use the app and every 3 months they want you to change your password I think this credit union is the only bank who makes you change your password so frequently its frustrating when you run out of passwords they need to do better with this app because iam about to delete it from my phone if I can’t access my account whenever I need to

Bank Purposefully Makes It Hard to Pay Your Loan

The app is terrible. At first they made you transfer money from an external bank account to an MECU checking account, and then you can pay your monthly loan bill. Setting that up was really weird as it required setting up two timely automatic transactions and took several tries over the span of a two weeks. Then just recently, MECU stopped all automatic payments from your MECU checking because they switched their system to now being able to pay from your external bank account. So my automatic payments were stopped, I’m now late, and it’s taking forever to set up my new automatic payment from my external bank account to this MECU loan. This is all just terrible.

This app is as bad as it gets, the information from the bank site doesn’t even transfer over to the app for my accounts.

and have the mobile app on my phone it been a problem with the app senses last year trying to see my account. I would like some feed back on how to fix the problem. please respond back.

Like time traveling to the 80s and not in a fun way

I’m only giving 1 star because zero stars isn’t an option. This is the absolute worst credit union/bank I have ever had the misfortune to use. My auto loan is through them, and I will be refinancing it to move it immediately. There is no way to pay a loan online or in app other than paying with a MECU account. There is no fuction for an external funds transfer. It won’t connect with other banks. They don’t accept Zelle for crying out loud - that should tell you enough right there. The only way for me to pay was to write a check to myself from my actual bank. Which they then proceeded to hold for over a week since it was a “new account”. I’m not writing a paper check to myself to mobile deposit each month just because MECU is stuck in the 1980s. The rep actually told me I could go in to a branch to make a deposit to be able to pay the loan every month. 0/10 would not recommend at all.

This app works when it wants. The mobile deposit won’t process the check no matter have many times you take a clear picture. Sometimes it won’t allow you to log in.

Annoyed

This app is slow to deposit stuff that’s supposed to be quick deposits.

Check deposit feature has issues

Every time I try to deposit a check it gives me a message telling me to rotate the phone in order to capture a picture of the check. But when I rotate my phone nothing happens. The app doesn’t allow me to take a picture of the check. I usually have to close out of the app and try a few times before it actually lets me take a picture of the check. Please fix this. I know that it’s not my phone because I checked my settings and the app has access to my camera.
