Good app

Love this app though I hate that it’s not supported with spotify and only apple music, developer if ur reading this pls support it with spotify and also to make the cover flow like the original, there’s multiples albums showing on the screen it has to be one by one but other than that it’s a really good app

Great

I feel like an iPad version would be nice :)

Best skeuo music player ive used

This is so skeuo, I use it for my ios 6 theme and its EPIC, if you want an ad-free skeuomorphic music player, this is the app for you

Almost Perfect

My main issues are that you can’t give songs start ratings, (it’s a great way to sort your library) and I wish you could customize the tabs at the bottom. Other than that it’s a very clean and simple music player for a fine price.

Skeuomorphism and the illusion of progress

I initially purchased Medley due to my interest in the Skeuomorphism design community and an urge for nostalgia of the “good old days” with digital interfaces. I can remember, vividly, this style of music player from my youth.

The design is perfect, almost an exact copy of the former design before flat boxes became the staple of tech design. It’s simple and easy to use, intuitive too. However, it has some shortcomings as a result of technological advancements, namely the album art which doesn’t quite reach the top and bottom of the screen, courtesy of the altered screen shape of modern devices. It’s a minor issue, and the app works greatly regardless, but an annoyance nonetheless.

Landscape mode is also a highlight of this app and something in which I love to use. If you’re attempting to detox yourself from algorithms and modern flat design then Medley is perfect!

AMAZING

Exactly what I was looking for. If only you could release sister apps for the calendar, time, notes, and voice memo apps!

Great

I had an older iOS 5 iPod touch 4 but I got an iPod touch 7 for more games and more storage and I hated the Apple Music from iOS 15 and then I found this app and I love it and makes it feel more like an iPod touch

Let us use MP3

Not good at all, accidentally purchased and would’ve kept if it supported MP3s.

Issues with backing out of main menu

First and foremost, I think that this app is awesome and really is fun to use, but there is an issue that I’ve had ever since I downloaded it and it has to do with the main menu. When I back out of a submenu, like from an album to the main menu, there is an about a second window where I can’t scroll and move anything and the album I backed out of stays highlighted. But other than that this app is great and enjoyable to use!

It needs playlist folders

Let me start by saying this: I love this app. I love how authentic it feels and works. The developer did a great job with that.

The only issue I have with it, and the only reason I’m not giving a 5-star review yet, is that it doesn’t currently support playlist folders. My music library is heavily reliant on folders for organization. Whats currently happening is all the playlists are just there in alphabetical order. I’m not a developer and I don’t know how hard it would be to implement this, if it’s even possible. But if this gets added, this app would be flawless and probably become my default music app. I strongly hope you add this, developer! Thank you!

Fantastic

My only gripe is the rounded grey squares that are hovering over everything when button shapes is turned on in accessibility, hope the developer fixes this. App is very usable though

Exactly what it says on the tin!

This is a fantastic app. Nostalgic but extremely functional; it provides a fantastic, fuss-free way to access your Apple Music library.

My only critique is that on larger screen devices like my iPhone 14 Pro Max, the album artwork is framed above and below by grey space. Would look more authentic if the top and bottom bars scaled to fill the space instead.

That aside, 5/5. Worth the low asking price.

Cannot add music from files

Only works with Apple Music..

Can you add Spotify support

Just asking

I wish every app was like this!

This is truly amazing! I really hope that these iOS 6 apps continue to increase in some way or another, flat design is becoming too depressing, and ads/social features/bloat are in practically every app now. Make iPhone fun again!

me

os there equalizer I like equalizer if there is I am dumb and cant see it equalizer hi I like equalizer I like equalizer equalizer it’s equalizering time

I love this. Just wish it had one thing.

This app is so awesome. I downloaded it to my iPod touch and it makes me remember when iTunes was king. But I would love to see some modern features added in the older iOS style. Specifically an add to queue button. Yeah that’s about it. A queue would be the best.

Yes

This brings me right back. Listening to music on my phone is fun again!

Best
