Worse service in my experience
Took several attempts to book. Kept taking my points but giving me errors and not booking. Had to call hotel wait for ages but no reply in reservation. Hotel recepción told me they are closed but ivr keeps you waiting. Points took a while to be realeased every time. No good at all
Horrible app/website for booking
Took 30 min to book. Couldn’t edit and update phone number on account. Scanning didn’t work properly for payment, no option to type in name and number

The Meliá App
If a hotel is not accepting booking dates there is no dates offered when the hotel would accept bookings -

Horrible to use while at resort and some point redemption doesn’t work
We went to playa del Carmen in December 2025 and the app was horrible to use, everything would just direct you out of the app and into a web browser.
On top of that Meliá apparently allows you to exchange your points for Amazon gift cards, only it always fails due to an error. I contacted support and they said they are working on it but update after update and you still cannot redeem your points for Amazon gift cards.

Paris Reservation
Happily surprised by how easy and effective Melia booking system works and managed to reserve the room with less than 1 minute search time. I cannot wait to visit Paris and enjoy the hotel.
Convenient app for bookings
Melia really has done this right, it makes you want to go back again and again. The hotel chain operates in almost all holiday destinations and has a luxury feel to them. Food is amazing and consistent across all of their branches. Once you booked one holiday with them, they give you enough points to get a really significant discount on your next holiday so you go back again and again… it’s how you make customers loyal.

Online Booking
I have used the online booking system many times and it’s so easy . Never any issues.
Just doesn’t work
Another company who IT team lets down all the people that work in the hotels and I’m not sure how they get away with it. Getting the app to function doing the basics is essential to getting the rooms filled. Trying to update information in my app, it insists on doing an email verification says it saved and the information is not updated. If you need ideas of getting the basics right, have a look at hilton and IHG app

Just does not work
It is a shame the app is not tested more thoroughly before being released. On trying to check in I cannot progress to the next screen, simply nothing to tap on. It says completed at the bottom but does that mean I’m checked in? If so why indeed does it say check in on the front screen? On trying to plan my stay the screen just says loading with 2 circles spinning. On closing the app and starting again O get the spinning circles and cannot get out of it. More testing devs!

It says that the password is wrong. But it’s not wrong I cannot log in from my phone. If I use the webpage I can log in without any issues.
