Deleting the app their rasing their price
Deleting this app because the rides were 1.50 and I was so happy with that would get rides constantly now it says 3.50 for one person absolutely no taking our money business going to do down for that.

This is a great way to commute after a long day of working and shopping especially at night when bus aren’t available.
Shift end: 5:00PM Pickup: NEVER
Imagine getting out of your shift at 5 PM on October 7, 2025, and you try to get a ride home via this service. Imagine spending over an hour and a half waiting for a prompt to appear in order for you to tap it and request a ride home. Imagine you have to be stuck inside of the break room at work just because you cannot find a ride home. Imagine calling the call center in order to request their help in trying to go home and the cost center when you called both times tell you to go ahead and call back later even though the service closes at seven, and it was 6:52 PM. Imagine having to pay a Lyft in order to go home which cost $15 when there is a service in Miami Dade County that does it for free.
The service started out great, where the drivers did not move the vehicle until you had your seatbelt on, they made conversation with you, and weren’t on their phone at all.
Now, the drivers ride off if you’re ready or not, they don’t wait for you knowing that if you’re requesting this service, it’s because you need it, not the other way around, they’re always talking to someone on the phone because god forbid someone tells them to do their jobs, and finally… they deliberately take their breaks at the end of the day so you end up without a ride by the time the end of their shift comes along. I’ve had one driver admit this to me, and it is unacceptable… I think I’d rather they shut it down because it seems like a good idea in theory, but there needs to be more management of the drivers because they do whatever they want, and many people go without the necessary transport especially people without a car, like myself.
I’d like to believe that my tax dollars are going somewhere that is especially useful to me and to the community. Not something that can be turned off and on at the whims of the workers when they know they’re needed.

Not enough metros
Metro Connect has been very useful for me, since it has been a life savior for school. But recently it has been having a lot of problems when it comes to rides, I’ve always order my metro an hour or more before the time I need to be at school and I just never get one. Which is weird since I used to have no problem with getting rides before.

How do you create and app with free rides but doesn’t give any I’ve been trying to request a ride for a abt 30 mins and no rides it’s very unreliable when u really need it jus stick to uber at that point…

Super useful
For people who don’t have a drivers license like me, it is super useful. I love the app and I feel disappointed that the county is considering defunding it. It’s would affect a lot of people.

Hands down, Metro Connect is the best service provided to residents in my lifetime. Miami struggles with public transportation, and in such a car centric city Metro Connect helps me get places without owning a car.
