What's New in Metronome

4.0.0

July 14, 2026

We rebuilt the interface around one idea: the best metronome is the one you stop noticing. Tempo, subdivision, practice timer — all a tap away, so your attention stays where it belongs: on the music, not the app.

Upgrade

App upgrade is way too much at once!

Changed the app and it’s useless now

I use this app for my vestibular physical therapy exercises. It was perfect. Then I opened it today and it’s changed so that I can’t set it for only a minute. Now I have to use a separate timer to know when to stop. Hey! It wasn’t broke and you “fixed” it!

Amend: got a lovely response from the developer and am pleased. Changed my rating.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback, and we’re sorry for the frustration this caused. We’ve fixed the issue with the timer, and it should now work as expected again, including the ability to set short durations like 1 minute. If you still experience any problems, please let us know so we can help.

The subscription 🫩

Its okay for exercises but you have to pay for the way better features which is fair its a decent app but i cancelled my free trial now its saying i have to pay $30 to renew when i only wanted to try it out don’t do the free trial unless you’re going to pay for the full thing

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you found the app useful for practice. Subscriptions help support continued development of advanced features, but we understand it may not be the right fit for everyone. The 7-day trial provides full access to all premium features. After it expires, you can still use the basic free version of the app with limited functionality. If a yearly plan is not needed, a lower-cost monthly option is also available.

Don’t download.. It’s eight bucks a month to to find out that it doesn’t do what you need.

Don’t bother. Stay away.

Response from developer

We’re sorry to hear the app didn’t meet your expectations. We offer a 7-day free trial with full access to all features so users can evaluate whether the product fits their needs before subscribing. Subscription terms are clearly shown in the App Store before purchase. Thank you for your feedback — we’d be happy if you decide to give the app another try in the future.
