Terrible, Disgusting Ads Suddenly Popping Up

I’ve used the free version of this app for a couple years now. Suddenly today (7/15/26), a disgusting ad that takes up the whole screen popped up saying: Your phone has been locked due to viewing Child Pornography on Pornhub. Contact Apple at -then it looks like you have to click or call to get out of it… I immediately returned to the Metronome app by clicking on the TINY font on the upper left hand corner, closed this app, and deleted it.

I love using this app in my instrument practice, yet it’s apparent there are no appropriate ad filters on this app! I did attempt to Contact The Developer first at the link next to Review. It led to a site where there is no apparent way to contact the developer, so here I am leaving a review here.

I deleted the app because I do not want to see such disgusting ads that take up your whole screen!

I play the French horn and wanted a tuner I could use for my instrument but when I downloaded this app I couldn’t even change the key let alone change the key to f.!! 😡😤
