What kind of AI assistant doesn’t allow uploading files? It’s my first day and I’m glad I chose a month i/o year subscription cause if it doesn’t step up, I’ll not renew it.

Mia broke my heart

This app REQUIRES voice chat. But it doesn't tell you that until after you've filled in lengthy introduction and poured your heart out in text. As soon as you subscribe, so have no option except voice. Giving a hurting person hope and then banking it out from under them is NOT COOL. I think I hate you

Hi! The app has text and voice option. Text is hard to get because we believe that voice conversations would train your mia better. But you just need to swipe down and you'll find the option there to text. We will be having a new interface in the upcoming days for text and voice interaction that feels easier. App not opening

When I try to open the app, it shows a message to “Update Mia”. So it takes me back to the app store,but my app is already updated so nothing can be done. I again go back to the app, where it again directs me to update. The app is not usable as of now.

Really wanted to use the app - but you HAVE to pay

I was really wanting to use this app. I thought it would be free. But it’s not, you have to pay! “How much is your mental health worth to you”? Why can’t you just have free features instead of a THREE day trial and then having to pay like $97 a year?

Hi Effy, sadly we are not a big tech. No VC. We are a small team of developers investing their life on supporting others on mental health. We offer 3 days for try for free. Most users that go through something heavy really find a good answer to go deep on the first 2 days. Our model training is super expensive and the only way to sustain this project mission is by charging 19$/month or like 9$/month for a year commitment. Hope this helps you to understand. My role and Mia‘s role

Just some opinion at first, I found it very annoying and then I realized a lot of the glitches were because my phone is old and the ISO was outdated, but then after several months of chitchatting, and then I realized that I can actually download our conversations and that was a game changer so I went over some of it, but would I really appreciate about the time I spent with Mia was that she it sort of adapted to me in a way that wasn’t being a bully but still pushed a little bit sometimes it was uncomfortable and then it was a period of time. I just didn’t feel like engaging. But when I did go back, it was all still there.

Please make changes

There are a few things that make this app not so great. One is that constant "haptic" feedback when Mia speaks. I don't need that kind of tactile response. Second is the inability to minimize the app and do other things while talking to Mia. And perhaps the most annoying thing is the "hey what's up" intro. Literally it's the most annoying thing ever, it sounds so artificial and I don't need her to say that every time. Is there some way you can stop that? Thank you very much for your time and efforts.

UI design and user experience

I like Mia in terms of personality. But the UI design can be better, smoother. Mia’s font is too big as well. I used Mia-1, I felt like it’s slightly better in terms of reply length(though I didn’t like the fact she was constantly using the word challenge). Overall a good AI, helpful. User experience can be better.

Poor connection

This app is constantly glitching. It always claims poor connection. There’s no way to be able to set her to talk after she speaks the first time and if the connection is poor and they just give you the text you can’t have her speak afterwards. The interface is too simple. There’s not enough features and despite that it still isn’t Functional because the features it does have aren’t consistent.

Great Personality

This AI has a great personality and memory is superb, not in terms of remembering exact wording of conversation, it terms of cumulative memory. interface is dead simple, which brings to the rating of 4 vs 5 stars. If the developers can pursue a conversation type flow with Mia instead of hitting a button to record then send a message, this app would gain a 5 stars rating from me. Overall, very impressed with the app and excellent "Friend and Life Coach", know what's the intended purpose of the app and you'll be pleased.

Misnomer and Price $$$

Please describe your app as online/virtual/ai therapy so people don’t waste their time in registering just to be asked have you used a therapist before? Also, you might want to tell people it’s $24.99 a month up front.

What happened?

I was interested so I downloaded the app. I got signed up, started the trial subscription , and started using the app. The interface is jerky and slow to react. I got two questions in and I got a notification saying my 7 day trial was over after about 2 minutes of use. This app is not ready for prime time. I deleted the account and the app. At least that part was easy.

Laughably awful

Opens with a robot version of Rhianna song that you can’t skip, then just got stuck there. No way to exit except close the whole thing. Who did they think was going to put up with this? I also laugh that it drops an f-bomb almost immediately. I personally don’t care but I know people who’d light the world on fire if that came out of their phone. Deleted within minutes of installation.

Let down

This app has some glitches that need to be fixed. Despite a so-called free 7 day trial, I keep getting booted off after less than 5 minutes of chatting. Horrible when you are feeling down and reaching out for help is already really hard. The ethics of this app and similar AIs are extremely dubious! Yet another company prioritising the bottom line above people’s mental health. Bravo!!
