I had a 60 dollar gift card and when I went to use it at Michaels, it didn't let me. Used it, I call my friend that gave me the gift card and she said that it is a real Michaels giftcard from michael,now am in debt, thank at lotš
Not current
None of the new collections load, content is not current. You can walk into your local store and see things on the shelf but when you try to order for pick up, it does not show up on the app. It only shows up online as coming soon, at least there youāre able to save it to your wish list for later.
Same as shopping in-store
You can say one thing about Michaels, they consistently deliver one of the worst possible shopping experiences you could imagine. The app is awful, just like their stores are awful. Itās a horrible company that we are prisoners to only because thereās no other options .
Laggy and poor UI design
The app lags like you wouldnāt believe. It takes me 5 minutes to look up a single product and add it to my cart. And the app forcefully logged me out and itās so laggy that I canāt get back in anymore.
But worse than that, the app now has a garbage AI āassistantā thatās forced on you. Itās permanently sticking out of the right side of the screen, a distracting bright red button, and it doesnāt go away no matter what tab you open. Not even tucked away anywhere, just a permanent part of the screen now. Replacing human customer support is bad enough, but cluttering the interface with a useless AI āassistantā feels forceful and hostile.

This app is great for when I need to reorder my yarn but itās so laggy and then freezes on me constantly
Freezes constantly
Every time I use the app only 1-2 monies go by before it freezes up. I have to constantly exit the app and start it again. Itās extremely annoying since then I have to do my product search over again every single time it happens.
Needs to be updated or have new devs
The app is great to search for deals, coupons and in store products. However, it is extremely glitchy and slow. Every time and I mean EVERY TIME I go into my cart, it always tells me āyou have nothing in your cart! Keep shopping,ā and I have to refresh or add something to be able to view it and even then it may take it longer. While Iāve been searching in their 70% off clearance sale, itās been massively slow and glitchy and takes a while for the page to load and add stuff to my cart. And if you think itās a wifi/internet problem, I have full bars so ik itās not that.
Either the devs need to kick the bugs out or have an update or the devs need to be re taught how to programš¤·š¼āāļø

Love the store, hate the app
Truly such a bummer to have this app. Even the website has its problems, but for people who frequently purchase from Michaels itās the worsttt. Always slow and laggy, always crashing. Convenience and access is key in shopping apps and Iāve started purchasing from other sites bc Michaelsā is too unreliable.

Please fix the lagging issue
This app is so unreliable. I canāt believe how much I had to exit the app because it was lagging so much. I was trying to order something quick, but decided to just order through Amazon.
Going Downhill
I used to almost never have issues with the app functioning but for about two months now it freezes, wonāt load, etc. Bummer since the best coupon codes are online only and Iād rather not struggle with the web interface in my phone browser.
Functional
Three stars because managing my account and using my rewards in-store is pretty easy, and the UI itself is actually quite good, but just browsing is a miserable experience. Everything loads so slowly, and oftentimes if I leave the app while Iām browsing or if I hit something too fast, it freaks out and wonāt load anything, so I have to close it and start over. Drives me crazy.

I love Michaelās. I love the buy online/pick up at store process they have. However, this app actually works maybe 1/4 of the time. Constant crashing, LOADING, and inability to delete everything from my cart or multiple things at a time is what ruins it. I would gladly spend more money at Michaelās if I didnāt have to get out my laptop to order online every time

Garbage
This app is garbage. You can count on it to crash every time. Hangs up, crashes, loses informationā¦ Just use the website, because this app is useless.
Terribly slow / Crashes frequently
Love that I can search from existing inventory and order for same-day pickup. BUT, the app is so slow, I can actually feel myself aging while I wait to see itās frozen or just processing. Also, when I search a specific term, and select the āin-stockā option, I often get results that are neither.
Great. When it works.
Thereās a lot of great features and functions but theyāre overshadowed by how poorly this app runs. Itās got to be built on concrete for the pace it moves just adding something to my cart. It regularly crashes, stalls out, etc. Online shopping is impossible and even in person shopping is difficult as I have to wait ten minutes for my rewards to open. Needs an overhaul BAD before it becomes completely non functional.
