The app claims it can see, “names of Wi-Fi networks (SSIDs) near you and their associated MAC addresses.” If this is true, this app can be used to locate and track any user.

Es ist wieder einmal ein Beleg dafür, dass Microsoft bestenfalls alles von allen erfahren will! Systemübergreifend für alle Betriebssysteme greift der Konzern auf Daten zu, die man eben freiwillig preisgibt!
Mal ehrlich: iOS- und iPadOS-Systeme etc. brauchen so etwas nicht! Und im Windows-System werkelt der Defender ohnehin vor sich hin und macht einen relativ guten Job! Was das hier also soll, erschließt sich mir nicht? Solch eine App hat nicht einmal unsere Rechtsanwaltskanzlei installiert..

Works, but has Limits & Annoyances
Microsoft Defender “just works” apparently, but has few details of its findings. Having used this family of defense tools for years on Windows, I expect nothing less—and it seems to deliver!
But the incessant nagging to purchase identity insurance or sign up for Credit Monitoring (even though I already have that through other means) gets old rather quickly! Each new “update” of the app via the App Store causes the user to march through “suggestions” all over again—or put up with the indicator on the app (which may cause the user to miss actual alerts of successful protection from malicious code). Come on, Microsoft, give us an option to decline once & for all the repetitive push to sell identity insurance & protection services!

Bug report
Defender continuously notifies me that my device is not protected. However, it is. I also use Malwarebytes for iOS security. It is on and active. That means my device IS protected. Please address this bug by scanning for other malware apps running and only show the ‘ not protected’ alert if indeed my device is not protected.

VPN always breaks
More often than not the VPN causes issues. Just now I was unable to even open the app because the VPN stopped working. Then, the app just keeps nagging me to turn it back on and internet stops working again. I love MS but this is border line spam

I am constantly getting “You have 2 unresolved issues…”
Yet when I go to the app, “Everything looks Great!”
There is nothing to resolve. Pick a lane Microsoft. Either there’s a problem or there isn’t. My last issue was 18 months ago, so if I have issues (well, computer ones anyway), show me.

No app security
Once you sign into the app for the first time. There appears to be no security on this app whatsoever. There’s no four digit code to lock this app. There’s no facial ID to lock and open this app. There’s nothing. So anybody that gets a hold of the iPad can just open the app and see all the information that’s in here. That seems to be a huge flaw for an app. That’s supposed to be there to help you to protect your information. There should be at least a minimum four digit code in a facial recognition ability to open and lock the app. Every single legitimate app has those abilities. Lord in heaven get with the times.

MS Defender is Frozen and it says that something went wrong after a few minutes. It would be helpful to know why it is frozen.
