Auto save does not work
The auto save function on IOS is spotty at best and often does not save work. Wasting enormous amounts of time.

Used to love, now unusable
With the latest update, Excel is getting harder and harder to use. Most upsetting is the inability to include cells from other tabs in formulas. There is no way to see the tab bars when the keyboard is active. If you’re really desperate you can type the reference manually, but cross-referencing gets really hard. This is just the latest in a progressing downgrade of the app.
I have used this app since about 2011. I used to love it. I could take a smaller device to a job site instead of carrying a laptop around. This has changed in the last couple years. Features have been disappearing with each update. First to go were table settings, turning on and off things like header and total rows, and banded formatting. Then the formatting bar between the spreadsheet and keyboards went away. It used to appear automatically but became sporadic. Often a switch in the top menu was needed to make it appear.
In the latest version, all of the formatting options from that bar and the toggle switch have disappeared. Instead of 1 quick click to change the decimal places or 2 to change fill colours, I have to drill down through menus to format the number. The same trend is happening in other areas too. This is ridiculous.

Convenience
It is extremely convenient that be able to use MS programs on the iOS platform. Super easy to use & all the features are the same as on a non-iOS device.
Very useful.
Excel is very useful if you know how to use it.
Inconsistent bulls*it
I can edit & save for free on excel online but can’t with app, Microsoft’s room temperature IQ team strikes again

I updated the excel app today and my file with all my data in it is shown as moved or deleted!!! No where to find my excel file
Horrible company
This is a horrible company that forces you into contracts that you don’t want to be in. Used to be you could just download a system on your computer and be done with it. Only having to get another one when you want to. Now the only way you can get their system is if you subscribe to a monthly hundred plus dollar fee that they raise each year they make updates to make it more confusing each time, where used to be able to click wants to find something I gotta click four times to get to it. They do not even give you the option to stay with what you want the force you into upgrading and then charge you for it. Oh and now on top of that you gotta upgrade your devices because they don’t make a capable with older devices. Again very unethical company only reason I stick with them it’s because all my data from years of doing business is on the platform. Would have to start from scratch if I went with anyone else. If I was looking at getting a system for doing any kind of writing or Excel type spreadsheet and I could start a new I would definitely not go with them!,

Won’t connect with server to format to print. App is broken if you need to print. I’m forced to print a screenshot of spreadsheet. Won’t print offline as well. Big app downfall.
Useless on my phone
Works on computer, but rejects all same passwords and name on my phone
Sign and Update then lose an entire app that used to be free
