Fraudulent
Started charging via BP stationâs onboard reader (not miio) but got charged an invoice anyway. while the miio app showed ânot connected, not chargingâ the entire time. Tried for 40+ min to stop the session through every method available; nothing worked. Had to abandon my car mid-charge to pick up kids, then Uber back later. miioâs own support has acknowledged similar cases in other reviews. Basically it can silently bill you for a session it says isnât happening, with no way to stop it, is a real safety and financial risk. This shouldnât be allowed on the App Store until itâs fixed.

Leans heavily into dark patterns such as requiring both phone and email address, while implying that you have a choice until they have one of them. Follows that up with spammy whole-screen call to action splashes.

Big rip off
App works. Mostly. By having account with Miio be prepared to pay more than without. Doesnât make any sense and I have asked support. The answer was they do not control end price. Strange enough that if you pay ad hoc you can easily get 0.20âŹ/kWh or more cheaper.
Non convenable pour les locations
Absolument désastreux prix exorbitant, minimum bien trop élevée pas du tout pratique pour les locations plus multiples bugs de rechargement déconseille fortement.
Donât travel without this app!
Weâve been using Miio on our trips into Europe for several years now. It has been an absolute godsend! Between the app for locating charging stations, and the fob to start charging at stations which are not connecting to the app, we have been able to charge all across Europe, itâs been amazing. Highly recommend the app for anyone with an EV who is travelling through Europe. It works across multiple different charging station brands, so you donât need an app for each different one, this app covers almost all of them.

Needs improvement
I confess I have had some issues with this app, such as not being able to use it to start charging sessions and some issues with logging in. It should have a support line 24/7 taking into consideration the nature of the service they provide however thereâs not even a phone number available. They answer emails in business hours in an efficient and relatable manner.

I've been using this app for two months. While the service is quick and reliable, the pricing is completely unreasonable. I recently switched to a local app; at the exact same charging station, I now pay âŹ0.14 per kWh, whereas Miio was trying to charge me âŹ3.98. This price difference is unacceptable.

Thereâs always some issue with this app, and the âautoâ topup never works. The app never locates the charger Iâm standing RIGHT next to, and there are no clues about which charger is which. I donât know how apps can still be this bad - surely just run the customer feedback through Claude code?!?

Experiencia bastante decepcionante. Los precios son caros y, ademĂĄs, muy poco transparentes: tienes que hacer casi un ejercicio para entender cuĂĄnto te va a costar realmente una carga. El sistema de prepago tampoco ayuda, porque te obliga a mantener saldo retenido en la app en lugar de pagar por uso. AdemĂĄs, la carga puede terminarse automĂĄticamente sin previo aviso cuando te quedan entre 3 y 5 ⏠de saldo, obligĂĄndote a recargar de nuevo, con un mĂnimo de 20 âŹ, aunque solo necesites unos pocos euros mĂĄs. Esto hace que estĂ©s constantemente añadiendo saldo que muchas veces se queda retenido en la aplicaciĂłn. Para rematar, la suscripciĂłn promete descuentos importantes en PowerDot que luego son mucho menores de lo anunciado. SensaciĂłn general de poca claridad y expectativas incumplidas.

No refund from wallet
They dont offer a way to get money back from the wallet, if you dont want to use miio any more. That seems on purpose. I asked the customer support, they went silent, no response
It works
Out of the 7 different apps Iâve tried In Portugal to charge a car this is the one that actually only worked without a physical card. They do charge a premium but worth it if youâre in a bind.

Both times I have use Miio it has been a nightmare. Instructions and usability are incredibly bad.
We couldnât connect to the fast charger because it didnât work so had to go to slow charger.
I was with two of my very tech savvy sons but they were also finding it very difficult to use.
On the last charger it didnât even make it clear which port related to which reference number

The app doesnât work
This is the least bad of all the apps available in Portugal for EV charging. The app allows you to find a charging station but donât bet your travels on it unless you have a physical card to activate the station. I use ViaVerde as a backup, which at least lets you activate the station without a physical token.

Almost tripple the price of the local provider in Portugal
Hello, I have used the App for a Hotel charger in Lagos Portugal. The Hotel Charger expect only local bank cards so I followed ChatGPTs proposal. In the end miio charged instead of the local price on 25âŹcents almost the tripple price of 70âŹcents. Probably I feel liked hundreds other miio customer. There should be more one star ratings.
