What's New in Missive

11.33.0

August 15, 2026

New: • Recently used statuses are now saved in the status dialog. Reapply any with a single click, restoring the emoji, message, Out of Office duration, and auto-responder settings. You can also search your full status history or apply saved statuses from the command bar. • The AI assistant can now open files attached to a conversation, including PDFs, images, and documents, and use them as context when composing replies or answering questions. • The AI assistant can now compose new messages from scratch, not just replies. Set or change the From, To, Cc, and Bcc fields, start a brand new conversation, or reply to a specific message in a thread. Works across email, SMS, and WhatsApp. • The assistant's calendar tool can now search events by keyword, so you can ask things like "when is my next meeting with Acme?" without scanning every event. • Missive now remembers where you were in a conversation and restores your position when navigating Back or Forward. Improvements: • New OpenAI and Gemini models are now available in the model picker, and Missive will automatically pick up future model releases. Older models remain available under a Legacy submenu. • Native browser UI elements such as scrollbars, form controls, and spellcheck underlines now match your light or dark theme. • The API now accepts an add_default_signature option when creating a draft, so drafts created via API can include the sending alias's signature. Fixes: • Variables in a personal signature now fill in from your organization profile, so fields like job title render properly in the preview and in sent emails. • Pasting a URL over selected text in the comment box now turns the selection into a link, instead of replacing it with the raw URL. • Typing a slash date like 9/8 in the snooze menu resolves to the correct date again. • The onboarding dialog no longer renders too small and clips its right side. • Messages backfilled through the API with a custom account alias now appear as outgoing instead of incoming. • Recipient fields on SMS and other channel messages now update live when the recipient changes. • The spinner when opening a calendar event from the Activity feed no longer spins indefinitely after a fresh app launch. • Integration forms that outgrew their dialog can be scrolled again, and narrow integration popups now open at a usable width. • Fixed inserting file links via the Google Drive integration.

Blocks actions with weird questions.

Does bizarre things, e.g. a new email message just gets marked as a draft, with no way to send it

Truly Amazing App. I have tried them all!

I was looking for a better email app for personal and work emails. The default Mac mail just does not have any real features if you have a lot of email addresses, calendars and notes. I literally downloaded 20 different platforms. All the big ones and the smaller ones. Ones that most big companies use. You can imagine the list. 3-4 months of testing and finding flaws in all of them. Missive is exactly what YOU need it to be. You can set it up just for what you need. Built a couple of custom apps to help me that live in missive now. Incredible. It is really an amazing software.

The absolute best thing. I LOVE using the app.

Using missive for few years now in multiple orgs. It’s essential and lovely to use. Well designed. Complexity where it’s needed. And amazing dev/support team. Features are very well implemented. And I love the fact that there API and custom integrations!
