Video follows audio is buggy
For $50 I would expect the app to be more reliable. I purchased this app specifically for video follows audio. The “greater than” works well where the camera will switch when microphones detect sound above a certain level but the “less than” does not work. It is supposed to let you switch to a particular camera when audio goes silent but after 2 hours of checking settings and asking AI, it is still not working.

This guy is awesome!
It’s almost 2026 and I left a comment in the subreddit about a problem I was having with the software and the creator got back to me in less than 24 hours to fix my problem. I mean if that isn’t dedication I don’t know what is. I’m truly grateful that this industry has so many awesome creators like Adam Tow.

Great app - little new issue
Exactly what you are looking for, make the purchase. I would like to report a new issue however. When editing super source box location, it moves a few pixels, then scrolls the entire screen. I am unable to successfully move any super source boxes because of this, which is actually a major hindrance for me and my workflow.

Paid User for Years - Just lost all presets
Presets gone all of a sudden :(
Unfortunately…… the most expensive app I ever bought and the worst connected!

I install multi million pound installs for stations, organisations, churches, schools and similar.
We bought this app 2 weeks ago, as a particular school we were doing an install in asked us to check it out. Incidentally this happened to be a school spending nearly 1/2 a million on its TV studio, but there you go.
Could we get it to run - nope.
How many networking engineers did I throw at this - 6 engineers.
Could any of them experience consistency in how the app failed to connect - yes.
It’s £50 we’ve wasted and £50 waste teaches you a lesson - don’t just fall for every good looking app that exists!
App LOOKS good, but everyone I now ask about it has the same opinion. I’m trying to encourage them all into sharing their experience but most say they can’t be bothered.

If you have an Atem you NEED MixEffect.
I don’t write reviews often, but this Application changed the game, I’m a content creator, and new podcaster, I wanted a way to effortlessly cut between the speakers on my podcast. It took me a while to figure it all out, but one I did and dialed in the setting it worked great. Video follows audio is excellent!

$50 is cheap for what you get. Easy intuitive. I am a one person show ( talent, producer, editor) Ups my production value 40-60%.
Separately buy a HDMI to USB ($16 hardware)- Set up mutiview in side app, run this on your big screen via USB cam configuration. Sprinkle in Companion app, add a streamdeck, never use OBS again. Never worry about failure. I have the ipad version also for when I travel.

The Blackmagic App You Didn't Know You Needed
As a Blackmagic user, I always felt like something was missing on my iPad. MixEffect changed that completely! It's got all the switcher controls you wish the official app had – and it's super easy to use. Plus, now it works on M-series Macs too! App keeps disconnecting from the ATEM
The app is amazing and it has all the features I need, however I have a huge problem with it.
The app keeps disconnecting from the ATEM every few seconds. I’ve tried it with different routers, different ATEMs. This is the case for both my iPhone and iPad.
I also have the pro version and I have the same issue.

SuperSource Control Needs Work
I had to be a tester for the SSRC functionality. The top/bottom/left/right settings need help. Fiddling with the Enable Box setting has an effect. Otherwise, I can tab from box to box without my settings being saved, or surprising changes to the wrong box (I did unlock it).
Also, the top/bottom/left/right wheel is aloof. This definitely can’t be relied on in a live situation; requires careful, repeated fingering. I would have to work everything out ahead of time.
Most of the other controls seemed to work fine. It’s quick too.
I recommend you allow us to drag corners of SSRC boxes, like a photo editing app, to adjust size/position, and make those input wheels fatter, so the sweet spot doesn’t need to be coaxed with pixel-point accuracy.

Controlling BM ATEM HD
This app play up with loading a Picture to Media 1 & 2. Does not upload it to media...please why is like that ADAM??

Very useful little tool.
Works brilliantly. However a bug means that I cannot upload photos from my iPhone into the media stack. The capture works ok but not upload from photo selection.
