Perfect Tool
For years, I thought about doing my family tree but was concerned about how to organize the vast amount of information I would collect. This app is exactly what I need and the fact that it is available on my iPhone, iPad and Mac, makes it very convenient to update anywhere and anytime. I also plan to share my tree with other family members to build out our ancestry with information they have. I wish though, there was an online option where others who do not have Apple phone or computer can access my family tree. Overall, I really like this app.

Great app but…
This app is beautiful and works great. I just cannot figure out where exactly my file is located. Is it on my mobile app? On Cloudtree? On iCloud? On One Drive? My cloudgtree also doesn’t match from one device to another. Yes, I am logged into the same Apple ID. So I am hesitant to make updates to my files, because I don’t know which is the real McCoy. Customer service was good about answering my first email in depth, but I am having issues still and waiting on them. I’m sure they will reply. In the meantime, those are my only gripes about this app.

Maps maps maps Yet no undo button
This is a frustrating app. I accidentally deleted a long text note story. There is No way to undo and recover. Doesn't have the simplicity & functionality of my old version of family tree maker.
Magically Valuable
This has been an invaluable tool to allow me to connect with family, learn their stories, and document it to pass down to future generations. While there’s always room for improvement, the utility it provides as a cloud-based platform, especially when paired with the desktop app, is so practical and fun to use.

Great System
This program is amazing for all who love genealogy, you can put so much information in every record. I also love the fact that you can link your familysearch account and all records are there.
This app is perfect but…
Printing the charts is a nightmare, everything printed is small even when blown up to poster size, I edited and changed the font size it took forever to edit each family member and the printed version is still unreadable 😤

Sadly, 9 was not functioning properly & wouldn’t open link to Family Search. Apparently, it was something to do with Apple Apps & something to do with there being a newer version, 10.
Anyway, 10 is working well, just trying to find my way around the new interface.

This app is incredible for creating custom family trees, full of rich metadata. Worth every cent!
Confusing
I find the entry of data and then finding a person too confusing
In depth genealogy app with tons of tools inc. ged file viewer.
Love this app, but there is a learning curve in order to become efficient in its use. I especially enjoy the interactive tree viewer and easy person search. The individual person page view has tons of information. Only thing I would change is the easy ability to view a whole family at once. I also like that I can use this on my iPad and the cost was very reasonable. I highly recommend this app.

Amazing software but
I love the software and visuals - probably the best out there in this niche space of family tree apps. I have a huge family tree - close to 800 people. I wish there was a way to view the descendant fan chart so it would show everyone - including people married into the family. It currently does and to me defeats the purpose if you want a nice way to see everyone at once. Otherwise the app is pretty awesome, I still love it for the ease of use and visuals.

Love the app, Hate the fact it won’t let me delete!
I have been using this app for a very long time now, all the way since version 8, but I hate the fact that when I try to “delete” a family tree, it doesn’t go away! I have family trees on the app that are from version 8 that I want to get rid of but I can’t because it will not get rid of them permanently. I would like the ability to permanently delete a family tree for good, and not just have it linger around like some bad juju. I use this for making family trees for my stories and for fun, and a lot of these I would like to get rid of, and it won’t let me! Like I said, I love the app, just let me delete some of my old family trees permanently!

Stop showing ads for your other products
This is a perfectly good piece of software for managing a family tree. I own it on both iOS and Mac. The rating is because I’m tired of seeing ads after updates for “iFinance” (or any other software). I don’t care if it’s made by the same company, it’s an ad.

Best Family history software on the market
Does everything you could possibly want. Graphically pleasing, rich in functionality, easy to use and with CloudTree enables use across multiple devices and storage of evidence, photos, certificates etc. I particularly like the places gazetteer geo-spatial functionality that enables you to see the geographical connections and journeys over time. I have well over 2000 entries in my tree and it’s always a source of family conversation - and I can share the reports and views straight onto a TV over wifi from my iPhone. Love it!

Very good application. Just needs a relationship to start person on each relation without having to call up a chart.
