Worst smart home device I own
After much work I managed to get the app connected to my fan and I controlled the fan remotely while I had the app open. After that first time, the app has never worked again. It even made my wall remote stop working. My lightbulbs manage to have better connectivity than this fan and app. I do not at all recommend it under any circumstances.

Such a bad app
This app feels like a single page web application built with a beta version of Angular 1 and stuffed into a browser. I haven’t used many apps worse than this one. Absolute trash.

Can no longer log in with Apple ID
Won't accept passkey, API is buggy. So now I can't control from the app. Wonderful.
Great fan bad app
After adding a fan it works for a bit and then cannot connect the next day until you remove and add. Wall switch works fine and the fan itself is great. App is junk. I would be happy knowing an app didn’t exist. Get your lives together.
Google home integration is broken and support link doesn’t work
When it works it works well. But integration is flaky and the support is non-existent. I wouldn’t buy for the smart home features.

Instead, I have to click one at a time for this dumb interface that takes up the entire screen for one single fan when it should just show all five of
Also, Amazon Alexa Control some of the fans and not other ones I’ve spent hours trying to resolve it to no avail
The remotes are hokey to super picky about how many milliseconds you hold the button down if you don’t hold it down enough no response if you hold it down too long no response

Stopped working with Apple sign-in
Apple sign-in has stopped working which means I now can’t access my account that has all of my fans set up. Please update to fix this!
Wynd 60” and 52” fans
We purchased 5 Wynd ceiling fans and downloaded this app to update the firmware which was recommended before using the fans. I was able to check the 60” fan firmware but cannot check the other fans as I cannot connect them to the app.
Janky at best
This app really sucks. I think Modern Forms made a conscious decision to invest in rating bots rather than a good app. Ever written review is terrible, for good reason. This app is infuriating. Simple things like having an outdated login system to a confusing UI. They’ve obviously gone as cheap as possible.

The worst app I’ve ever used
The app always shows that the fan is connected and it never actually is. The fan doesn’t react to the app and the fan beeps like a smoke detector at random intervals. Voice commands on Google home work reliably but somehow their app does not work at all
Terrible app
The app will rarely turn on the lights or fans. We have a smart home, all other systems perform perfectly with the app but the Modern Forms app. The actual remotes work very well. If we can get one fan to work, the app logs us out, forcing us log back in, which we try to do, but it won’t log in. The credentials are correct, it just goes into wait mode. Been in IT for 40 years, own a software company and we code iOS and iPadOS apps. I’ve tried every troubleshooting thing I can think of, including deleting the app, doing a reinstall, installing it on our clean/lean testbed phones and tablets - but nothing works. I’m open to ideas, I’m fresh out.

Beautiful fans – awful app
I chose all Modern Forms fans for my home because of the way they look. The app however, is terrible. It logs me out randomly. Or I have to log out and back in just to connect to the fans. The app still doesn't even rotate to horizontal mode on iPad. This is frustrating in the middle of the night when I want to just quickly turn the light on, I can't. I have to go through this whole rigmarole of logging out, logging back in, just to turn the light on! I can't even connect the fans to the smart technology app. I use to control everything else in my home. The only feature about the app I really is the ability to schedule. This is the one thing that seems to work seamlessly, during the summer I have all the Set to turn on and off at a certain time each day at specific settings. This works great, I wish the rest of the app did too. If a developer this… PLEASE ADD HORIZONTAL MODE ON IPAD... thank you :)

Poor connectivity
I’ve been using this app for over four years and have five Modern Forms fans. Spent a lot of time calling back-and-forth technical support fixing one thing or another or trying to get one back online. Hard to believe that they have not updated this app to fix the ongoing issue experienced by almost every user. Number one requested fix?! That the fan actually connects so that you can turn it on and off almost 99% of the time myself another users have to swipe the app away and log back in. What a pain in the neck. Having to do it all over again I would’ve chose a different smart fan. And yes, I’ve called customer support , but there’s nothing they can do because it is an engineering issue

Terrible app
This app crashes constantly. I had 5 fans on it and it crashed and they are all gone. Garbage. Developers should be ashamed.

Useless App
The app keeps on loading however I have never seen it respond to any Command. It’s a useless app. The fan switch is so slow that it sometimes take 14 seconds or more to turn on after you press the button. My advise, don’t buy this and for those who already have them installed, just press the button once and wait as pressing it again and again will eventually lead to more wait time adding to the frustration…
