Worst App Ever
I have used a lot of apps through the years. This is unquestionably the worst. The idea that they charge $1,000 for it is highway robbery. To be clear, the premise is good because something is needed to track days in various states and metropolitan tax locations that will stand up to audit scrutiny. I picked this one because my accountant claimed it withstood NYC tax audits. This can’t be the case. The problem is that I live in NJ across the river from NYC, Everyday I wake up, the app says I’ve been to NYC even though I don’t work there and haven’t been through a tunnel or over a bridge. The program’s developers respond by saying, “you can self designate those visits on your calendar as something called a Tower Jump. Everyday????? It will not hold up to tax scrutiny. I will still have to do the work. I’ve asked for a refund but guess what? Shameless.

Excellent App
I strongly recommend Monaeo in the event one wishes to change residences which activity implicates tax issues. In my situation the change involved moving out of NYC to an upstate home. While I followed a number of recognized steps to establish the bona fides of the residence change, using the Monaeo app—which tracked my daily movements—gave me total comfort regarding the propriety of the move. Also, all of the employees there were very well informed and offered assistance in the event I had any issues. In sum, you will find that Monaeo performs its stated functions carefully and completely.

Ease tax burden - out of state work
When I relocated and started working remotely in TN, I “wish” I had the Monaeo app to right-size my tax liability and eliminate my hours of manual data collection. Now, I can focus on my work while the Monaeo app simply gets the job of tax jurisdiction allocation done for all my out of state and country business travel / remote work.

Totally worthless app
This app is an absolute joke. All it does is Geotag your location for 99.00 a month. That’s right, 99.00 a month to geotag your location. Just take a picture with your iPhone everyday and you have what you need or get TaxDay app for 10.00 a month and it does the same thing. What’s worse is you can’t even sign up for app from your phone and nowhere on the app does it tell you this. Customer support is worthless as they never seem to answer the question you ask. This is clearly a ripoff app as company thinks that anyone thinking about a residency audit won’t care about spending 100.00 a month on an app. That is probably true. But for that amount of money they should be able to incorporate ones credit card and toll charges into the app. Don’t waste your money on this one.

Doesn’t work!
Be careful this app stops recording your location way early in afternoon and they won’t fix it. Customer support doesn’t even respond they just say they can’t do anything or it’s with engineering and no response . Day before yesterday it stopped recording at 1pm, yesterday didn’t record and I have the app open all the time. Very disappointed! Now it’s just showing app says something went wrong and it doesn’t work. I have sent in email after email with screenshots and they are not doing anything.

We learned about Monaeo when we became snowbirds in FL and had to track our days in NY! This solution really really helped us establish our whereabouts and provide the necessary documentation in case we were ever audited. The team has been very helpful over the years helping us with everything from solutions to tech glitches to helping us find the perfect legal team to represent us in a tax issue with New York State. It’s a bit costly but it could save you a bundle if you ever need to document or defend a residency dispute.

Useful app but exorbitant personal user price of $79 per month
Having used several of these tax tracking apps testing which one has the best features and accuracy of tracking, I would give Monaeo a high number of stars. After the trial period the personal user price is $79 pm close on $1,000 pa. which is frankly way off market and exorbitant. I also use for my consulting practice, Xero for my accounting $25 pm and Gusto for payroll $ 39 pm - so just tracking my location $ 79 pm. While Monaeo states that their app is IRS auditable at the end of the day it is your receipts, tickets etc that proves your location and whether this is personal or business.

Interesting app
Not the most intuitive app I’ve used. However if you think your will get an IRS proctologist and you can afford $1000 per year I might recommend. I will add customer service is OUTSTANDING so maybe you get what you pay for.
Life saver!
I spent years trying to track my days in and out of different states and NYC to make sure I pay taxes where taxes are due. I was audited and the pain and agony of negotiating with the IRS using AT&T records was a nightmare.... then I found Monaeo.
I pay no attention to where I am, When I have a question the customer service is SUPERB both on line and on the phone. Thank you!!!!!!!

I’ve been using the app for several months now. It substantially exceeds my expectations for its value added, accuracy and—unusually for an app—quality and promptness of support. Anyone who needs the type of information generated by this app should definitely get it.

I have been using this App for just a few weeks and I am so happy with it. I wish I had known of it several years ago. I have always tracked my days but it has been a tedious manual process and the app has completely simplified my life. on top of that, the personal customer service is exceptional. Monaeo has not tracked a number of days properly in Dec, particularly Dec 17 where I was located in three states during the day. I was not able to correct manually.
Per others, the new system is cumbersome and these is no HELP I am aware to learn.
