Expensive

The idea of the app is very good but you have to pay, which most people won’t do including me. Also there is no free way to use the app.

Expensive

The app is really good but it’s too expensive like 5k a year??? Bro people already pay for stuff and 5k is overboard it’s like pay to grow. Make it 2~3k at least.

Best Solo Leveling-inspired fitness app

I tried several RPG apps, including Arise, but Monarch is absolutely the best. Awesome workouts, and overall app experience. Can’t recommend it enough ya’ll.

Can’t do anything unless you pay a ridiculous price

This app seemed extremely well done, and I’ve seen reviews where the dev has stated that you can do the daily workouts without paying the subscription, but I literally can’t do anything—everything I try to do, it asks me if I want to pay a month or a yearly amount. Which is fine—I don’t begrudge a dev for wanting to pay for an app.

What I have a problem with is the price—$10 a month?? Or $50 a year?? Just get a gym membership—Gold’s Gym near my house offers memberships at $10 per month. I love the look and feel of this app, but there’s no way I’m going to pay those prices.

Also, it’d be nice to know how severely limited the app would be after downloading it and not paying that crazy price. Thanks.

Paywall App

Don’t believe the online Advertisement! You create an account and when you choose to start a quest the subscription paywall shows up. Not much you can do for free .Kind of worthless if you can’t even log workouts for free.

Response from developer

Hey, The daily quests in the app are a 100% free. Logging workouts, joining guilds, and completing dungeon workouts are a premium feature.

Awesome app!

The app is awesome! If you like solo leveling and gamified fitness, this is perfect. The price point and return on investment is well worth it. You pay for a gym membership, you pay for a personal trainer, this is a happy medium between the two. Stop buying Fortnite skins and start investing in your own. Definitely recommend!

paywalls everywhere

cool idea but you can’t even hit start quest without it asking you to pay. what’s the point if i can’t do anything?

Weights

This is more so of a question but does workouts that are givin to me provide weight lifting nothing srs like bench pressing but like with dumbbells and such cause ik it asks if we have access for it but when I look it doesn’t show any planned day with weights so I’m a little confused.

Response from developer

Hey, This bug has been fixed and the app now adapts better to the inputs you provide during the onboarding process and the information that exists in the profile section.

Good Concept, Poor Value

The concept is solid, especially for fans of Solo Leveling and gamified fitness. Turning workouts into quests is a great idea, and I respect indie developers who take on ambitious projects like this.

That said, the pricing is far too high for what the app currently offers. This is marketed as a Health & Fitness app, yet it does not integrate with Apple Health at all. My workouts are already tracked via Apple Watch and other fitness devices, but none of that data can be used here. Everything must be logged manually.

Manual logging might be understandable for specific exercises like knee push-ups or squats, but there is no way to log or sync basic health data such as weight, height, calories, or activity metrics that already exist in iOS. At this price point, that feels outdated.

I genuinely want an app that gamifies workouts and pushes progression in a Solo Leveling–style way, but the current cost combined with the lack of Health integration makes it hard to justify. With better syncing and more modern tracking, this could be something special. Right now, it feels overpriced for its current state.

Don’t bother

The quests are locked to their premium version, which is ~10$ a month or 50$ a year (which is conveniently not mentioned in the description). Makes the app useless until you pay up. Should’ve known better than to click on an ad for this app.

Good idea, but bad execution

Fun idea but unfortunately the app doesn’t seem to work. At least not for free users. Yesterday I completed my quests, checked each box off, and clicked complete workout and it took me to a screen to pay. I figured ok maybe I just can’t complete it early as a free user. Should complete when the day changes so I left the quests checked off. In the morning it told me I had failed the quests and no XP was given. Then today even post update which they said should fix the issue, the quest is still failed, I can’t even interact with the workouts today, and I can’t click start quest without being prompted to pay. Maybe the app works perfectly if you pay but this doesn’t encourage me to pay or use the app as it’s having the opposite effect of motivating me now since it’s not working properly. Hopefully they can fix it because the idea is really cool

Response from developer

Hi, thank you for sharing your insights. You are correct; there was a bug that caused the Daily Quests to start when a new user completed the onboarding and was on a free tier. This is actually a premium feature, and this issue is now fixed. We'd love for you to try the app and share your valuable feedback.

Doesn’t work

All it does is try to get you to buy the outrageously expensive premium plan to do anything. Seems like a scam.

Good concept implementation needs work

Workouts aren't being saved after I complete the quest it says it's done but the next day it says I missed the quest.

Response from developer

Hello, thanks for pointing out this bug. This issue has now been resolved. Would love for you to try it again on the latest version of the app - 1.0.3

Love the guilds feature

Me and my friends created a guild and are holding each other accountable. Super cool idea
