USAA a no-go
Didn't work with my bank. They were nice during customer service, and promptly refunded my money.
Poorly written software
Very poorly written software. Love desktop version but forget about it on your phone. Had it working reasonably well after installation but one day it decides to use an older data file that omits over the past year of data. How does that happen??? And, there is no way to aim it at the correct data file!!! How does that happen??? I use the program primarily as a checking/account register. But the “Add” screen poorly displays the process and is extremely unintuitive and very aggravating to use. And finally, if you are using an iPhone and have it set for “Dark”, good luck being able to read most of the entries of the ledger. Pull it and fix it guys. Buy, hey, I do truly love the desktop version and you’ll keep getting my renewals as I am always interested in seeing what improvements you have made!

Revised Review (was Rarely Syncs. Waste of time and money.
I owe Moneyspire an update to my initial, harsh review. It it in fact possible to find an escape from the sync hang via the Support page. Also, Support email (which I later found) responded in a few hours. Later the hangs became infrequent or (I hope) stopped. In addition, the more I work with the app, the more I admire its budgeting and reports: thorough and clear, preferable to others I've bought. I only wish the reports were visibke on the iOS version. On balance, I correct my review from one star to four.
************
Original: The keystone to syncing is Moneyspire's own Cloud. If you logged into that Cloud, you can't quit or save until it syncs. But most of the time, syncing from the Mac fails, and you are stuck. The data on your iOS devices also vanishes. Too bad. Otherwise, the features look good on the Mac, though the iOS app has no reports. The company hides pretty well from inquiries. You're on your own with a $30 brick that took you hours of data entry.

Import Fuction
I import a quicken file with no problems, but the file had no transactions attached
Sync rarely works
Although tech support responds quickly-it is extremely frustrating how often sync issues occur. What’s the point of having a mobile version if the data is completely useless. Can’t you folks get it right and keep it that way? Users are paying for a product. The least you can do is provide a working product.

Great switching from Quicken!
So, I was a long-term Windows PC Quicken user--for like 30 years. Going to Mac, I didn't want the subscription based Quicken--too expensive. So, I was looking for an app that worked like Quicken but could also import seemlessly, all my previous Quicken files. I tried every Mac app, free or paid (on trial basis) and was always disappointed. Trying Moneyspire, I worked thru the trial period and loved its ease of use and no-prob Quicken import. Matter of fact, I like it better than Quicken. So, when the trial period was over, I gladly paid the $29.99 (one time forever). I am so happy!

Frustrating
I really want to like this, but it’s maddening how many times I have to “clear the cache” to get syncing to work correctly. Every other day (not an exaggeration), my wife and I are forced to clear cache on both of our phones to get the data synced correctly with the iMac. There appears to be no difference between this 2022 version and the 2021 version other than it’s “supposed” to sync with the 2022 desktop version.

Slowly improving
I have used Moneyspire since 2018. I am changing from one star to three star, only because I have gotten used to the interface. However, the app still makes me cry on a somewhat regular basis.
Customer service is still slow or nonexistent. If you send them a message needing help, you might hear from them in a week. This is not acceptable. I sent a message today, because I was having trouble with syncing my devices. Fortunately, my husband found the issue, which was that I still had moneyspire 2021 on my phone, and 2022 on my laptop.
Maybe y’all could have sent a reminder to grandma here, who is not fluent in technology, to change to 2022 on my phone?
Next issue: reconciling. It has taken you four years to add the capability of adding a missing transaction during reconciling. Thank you for finally adding this. I used to have to back out of reconciling, add in the missing transactions, and then go back to reconciling. (And God forbid that the app should remember my start up transaction details when I come back to finish reconciling… No, I have to put them in every single time. Could you fix that?)
I do appreciate the ability to enter receipts on the fly, and that my husband can do the same on his phone.
So I’ll keep you another year. I’m old and don’t want to learn a new app.

Useful
Perfectly matches the desktop app. They can it a companion app and that’s exactly what it is. Don’t know why we have to download a new app for 2022 rather than update the existing app, but whatever it works. I do wish it would sync automatically every time rather than having to remember to manually sync, especially considering every once in a while for some reason it won’t let me log in unless I clear my cache, which clears any transactions I haven’t synced yet. If it would do that I’d give it 5 stars.
