Great app!

They should make it a little less expensive
Though.

Hate

This app is made by a smart guy I’ve watch his videos but 100 dollars a year is insane I thought it was free but no I will be deleting app

Do not download this app. It’s a scam.

I saw this app on X and thought I would give it a try. After going through what felt like 50+ screens they try to deceive you and make you pay before access. Use the Apple restrictions app, it’s much better and not designed to make you feel like you’re wasting your life.

Worst app ever

I paid for nothing. Totally useless.

Response from developer

Hey, sorry for the confusion 🙏 Purchases sometimes take a moment to sync with Apple. You can tap “Restore Purchases” on the paywall to unlock everything instantly. If you still have trouble, just reach us at hello@monkapp.com - we’ll make it right. Appreciate you joining the Mental Renaissance 🧠

Doesn’t work

You’d think for 20 bucks a month they’d at least get the one thing this app does right. I’ve had countless times now when I make a schedule it says the apps are being blocked but on my Home Screen I can still access the same apps lol I have to delete the schedule and remake it every time so it fully blocks the apps every day because the app fails to do so on it’s own in this weird little glitch for whatever reason

Response from developer

Appreciate you flagging this, looks like a rare sync bug on some iOS versions. The fix should be in this update. Thanks for helping us improve Monk 🧠

FAQ

What does Monk do?

Monk is an app designed to help users regain focus and build discipline by blocking distracting applications. It encourages users to complete one meaningful activity each day, such as studying or working out, and verifies its completion using AI before unlocking their apps.

How does the AI verification work?

After completing a chosen activity, the app uses a quick AI scan to verify that the task has been done. This ensures that users are genuinely engaging in their chosen activity before their distracting apps are unlocked.

Is Monk free to use?

A Monk subscription is required to enjoy full access to all of the app's features. While the app is available for download, premium features are unlocked through a subscription.

What kind of activities can I choose?

You can choose from a variety of meaningful activities such as studying, deep work, coding, business work, gym, meditation, journaling, or walking. The goal is to encourage engagement in productive or beneficial tasks.

How does Monk help with focus?

By blocking distracting apps and requiring verification of a focused activity, Monk helps users break free from the infinite scroll and digital brainrot. This daily ritual fosters discipline and allows users to reclaim significant amounts of time for deep work and personal development.
