About
Mood Beacon is a daily mood tracking app built specifically for people living with bipolar disorder; by someone who gets it.
Most mood trackers are too generic. Mood Beacon is designed around the real patterns of bipolar disorder: the highs, the lows, the subtle warning signs, and the importance of consistency.
YOUR DAILY SIGNAL
Every day, Mood Beacon calculates a personal risk signal based on your check-in data . mood, energy, anxiety, sleep, medication adherence, and more. Low, Moderate, High, or Critical. One clear read on where you stand.
DAILY CHECK-IN
A quick, thoughtful check-in takes under two minutes. Log your mood, energy, anxiety, irritability, focus, and motivation on simple sliders. Add notes, flag red flags, and track your sleep. No fluff, just the data that actually matters.
MEDICATION TRACKING
Log your meds and mark doses as taken each day. Morning and evening schedules. Missed doses factor into your signal, because consistency matters.
HISTORY & TRENDS
See your patterns over time. Weekly charts and day-by-day history help you and your care team to understand what's really going on.
CRISIS SUPPORT
When things get hard, help is one tap away. Mood Beacon includes instant access to:
988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline
Crisis Text Line (text HOME to 741741)
NAMI Helpline
DBSA Peer Support
Plus a built-in box breathing exercise to help you ground yourself in the moment.
BUILT WITH CARE
Gentle daily reminders, medication alerts, check-in prompts, and mindfulness moments on your schedule
Fully private, your data stays on your device
Clean, calm interface designed for hard days
Free to use
Mood Beacon doesn't diagnose, treat, or replace professional care. It's a personal tool to help you stay self-aware, consistent, and connected to support.
Built by Bipolar Beacon, a mental health advocacy brand created by someone living with Bipolar I.

What's New in Mood Beacon
1.1.0
July 13, 2026
This update adds the Support Circle feature, allowing users to invite trusted family members, caregivers, or therapists to monitor their mood data. Support persons get a dedicated dashboard showing recent check-ins, medication adherence, sleep trends, and risk level — keeping loved ones informed without requiring constant communication. Also fixes the password reset flow so the link now opens directly to a "Set New Password" screen in the app.
