This app is amazing!
I never found an app that was the best. This app is an online version of a diary and in fact has meditations and even tests for depression. I definitely recommend.
This app
This app helps me out so so so much thank you to whoever created this app
Great tool
This app gives many options for ways to improve depression symptoms. One of the tools the app offers is the ability to schedule activities. You first start by logging how you feel before participating in an activity (e.g. meditation, socializing, chores, reading) and then recording how you feel after doing so. This is helpful as it reinforces positive feelings by being able to look back at how the activity made you feel better. For every activity that is done, positive reinforcement from completing a task aids in reducing depressive symptoms. Even just recording how you feel can help recognize patterns where depression may worsen. This app has a daily journal to reflect on how you feel throughout the week. Another thing MoodTools offers are videos, such as TED Talks that share stories of others and how they combat depressive symptoms. I think this is very affirming that depression is something many people struggle with and coping through depressive episodes is very doable.

Good for CBT Practice
This isn’t a complicated app, but what it provides is spot on. I completed a course of CBT last year and this app really helps me to revisit the techniques I learnt. The thought diary is particularly good as it guides you through the process on reframing thoughts. The authors clearly understand CBT and so I think this is a really useful support tool for anyone going through therapy, or needing help to self-manage their practice going forward.

Incredible
Absolutely necessary especially if you’ve done work with therapy, particularly DBT.
Basic app
This is a pretty basic app which hasn’t been updated in at least 3 years, and I’m amazed that they have the nerve to try to charge $199 for it now. I think I paid less than $5 for it years ago.
When I opened the app a few minutes ago, it said that my Pro mode had expired, and thanked me for using the app. 🙄

Changed my life for the better
I’m pleasantly surprised by how effective this app is at turning my negativity into something more productive and useful!
Export failed
Upgraded but export feature failed. Otherwise, excellent app for monitoring yourself.
Deveria ter versao em português
Esse app é muito bom, mas só tem em inglês.
Omg I love it
You need this if you have suicidal thoughts or depression it helps a lot
Great Tool
I’ve never given a review before, but I felt this app warranted one. I’ve only had it maybe two days now, but I think it’s been really helpful. My psychologist recommended it to me. So far I’ve been using the thought diary and I really like that the app really gets you to assess and analyze the thoughts you’re having. There are also some other great features like the videos and safety planning that I’m excited to utilize. I often have trouble being consistent with things, but I’m hoping to be consistent with this. I think it’ll really help long term. If you’re struggling with depression or anxiety and you’re looking for something to challenge your negative thoughts, I definitely recommend giving this a try. For reference, I’m a 20 year old African American female college student. Hope this helps :)

Very good for people with mental health issues
This app is amazing. Highly recommend!
You need this if u are having a hard time!
I have only been using this app for 3 days and it is already changing my mood in a positive way! When I was texting a hotline they recommended this, I’m so glad they did!
The AI is frustrating sometimes
This app has some helpful tools, but the way the AI works can be frustrating. For example, you can be in the middle of making a safety plan, but if you say the words, ‘panic attack’ when it asks about your triggers the AI switches to the script for dealing with panic attacks and you can’t go back to finishing the safety plan as far as I can tell. The app is a good idea that needs some finesse.

Very Helpful
Quick a s easy way to change the way I think about things.
Surprisingly good!
I am quite imressed! As a professional in the area of mHealth and completely impartial reviewer I was very pleasantly surprised that behind the VERY basic design the app packs quite a punch with excellent content. Well-presented information, a very user-friendly quiz and generally a calm, supportive feel overall.
Great job, developers! Now get a good graphic and UX designer and you’ll have an excellent 5-star app!

No charge, so many resources.
It offers information regarding depression, coping mechanisms, meditation guides and even a journal. All these things could each be made into its own app, perhaps even charging people money for it, but MoodTools has it all, free of charge, just there to help me live my best life. Thank you so much to the creators.

Great and simple, but sometimes the content of my entries disappear
Not sure why, but I’ve noticed that I’ll take a look into my journal and try to read some of my old entries but the content is gone :/
