About

Mosquiter - turns your iPhone — and optionally your Apple Watch — into an experimental mosquito repeller. It is built on the popular idea that high-frequency sound and vibration may bother mosquitoes. Think of it as a fun, honest experiment rather than guaranteed protection. WHAT IT DOES • iPhone generates a high-frequency tone through the speaker. • Apple Watch adds haptic pulses right on your wrist via the Taptic Engine. • Dual mode runs both devices in sync for the strongest sensation — the iPhone acts as the clock and fires sound and watch haptics at the same time. • Boost adds a short frequency sweep and a stronger haptic sequence. MADE TO BE EFFECTIVE — ON YOUR DEVICES • Three effect modes: iPhone only, Apple Watch only, or Dual. • Auto-optimize picks the best mode and settings based on what is currently available (is your Watch paired, installed, reachable). • Runs in the background with the screen off (iPhone and Apple Watch). • Adjustable interval, session length up to 12 hours, sound frequency and haptic pattern. • Research-informed frequency presets: ultrasound (22 kHz), mosquito wingbeat (~480 Hz), wing harmonic (~1.2 kHz) or any custom frequency. GROUNDED IN RESEARCH • An in-app "What the science says" section summarizes published findings — with references — on sound frequency, hearing and color, so you know exactly what is and isn't established. SIMPLE & PRIVATE • Full Slovak and English localization (or follow your system language). • No ads, no accounts, no tracking. Nothing leaves your device. • Clear in-app Info, Science and Disclaimer screens. IMPORTANT The scientific efficacy of ultrasonic and haptic mosquito repellers is not proven, and independent studies generally do not confirm an effect. This app is not a medical device and not a substitute for repellents, mosquito nets or other proven measures, especially in areas with mosquito-borne diseases. Please read the in-app Disclaimer. Use at your own risk.
