This update focuses on accuracy, stability, and polish. No new screens, just a better app all around. MORE ACCURATE WEEKLY AND MONTHLY STEP COUNTS The Year Progress chart (Pro) previously estimated your weekly and monthly steps by extrapolating from your yearly total. If you had a particularly active or slow stretch, those numbers could be noticeably off. Version 1.0.14 fetches your actual step data directly from HealthKit for both the current week and current month, so the stats you see in the chart now reflect what really happened, not a mathematical approximation. SMOOTHER WIDGET PERFORMANCE The step count widgets (both iPhone home screen and Apple Watch complications) previously refreshed every 15 minutes. This created unnecessary background activity. Widgets now refresh every hour, which reduces background wake-ups and is easier on battery without any meaningful loss in usefulness. ACHIEVEMENT BADGES ARE MORE RELIABLE A subtle issue could cause badge celebrations to queue incorrectly under rare conditions when multiple achievements unlocked close together. The underlying data store now runs fully on the main thread, which ensures every celebration shows up in the right order. STABILITY AND UNDER-THE-HOOD FIXES If the Apple Watch ever stored a corrupted or out-of-range step goal after a sync error, it would use that bad value instead of falling back to the default. The app now validates the stored goal and resets to 10,000 if something looks wrong. The "Try Our Other Apps" screen now shows a proper app icon placeholder while each icon loads, instead of a plain gray box. As always, thank you for using MotivoSteps.
