you are planning to build a business on this platform, be aware that there is no clear protection for service providers when customers arrive late or cancel after the provider has already arrived.
Our crew arrived on time, the customer was approximately one hour late, and then chose to cancel the job. We were ready to perform the work, but still received a provider-caused cancellation.
I could not find any policy explaining how waiting time is handled. As independent businesses, we invest in LLC registration, insurance, equipment, fuel, and reserve our schedules for customers. Losing hours because of customer delays without any protection is frustrating.
I hope Moving Helper improves its policies by introducing GPS arrival verification, customer accountability for late arrivals and cancellations, and clearer rules that fairly protect both customers and service providers.
