MS now decided that greed was more important than keeping the public informed by putting up a pay wall right before the elections. You’re not getting my email and I’m not paying money a month for mediocre. It’s not even journalism anchors because they don’t do any real journalism.. Maybe they should stop paying Rachel Maddow 20+ million dollars a year for one day a week! So much for MS now being for the people greedy corporations ruin everything

Membership Ripoff (Caveat Emptor) UPDATED
9/10 (1O AM) UNBELIEVABLE no Morning Joe 9/10 podcast or video on the MS Now app. But you know where I did find a video? YouTube! Whose running this ship? Get your act together.
9/9 And let me add, now that I have gotten over the shock of first time contact, your app podcast section does not include any of your major commentators🤬 And if one simultaneously uses Apple Podcasts to listen to shows like Morning Joe they want to charge you extra money to listen ad free🤮 How many combined ways can you collect money from unsuspecting customers? I have no issue with companies asking for compensation for their services but you guys have crossed the line in terms of what you are providing then what you want people to pay. An MS Now subscription should provide complete EQUIVALENT access to all your products without charging separate fees for each.

From the start I was not thrilled when I read the MS Now membership did not extend to TVs. (I am a Direct to Consumer customer) But I thought I could suffer through that by using AirPlay. But when I finally signed up, and looked for on demand content from commentators I follow, it was 2 days old! SERIOUSLY? I can do better on YouTube! Sure, the membership includes live content streaming, which you could airplay on some TVs, but that’s not the point. The point is, and please correct me if I’m wrong, 2 day old videos are no longer news … their flashbacks. Their own podcasts are more current than that by far.
For current video news content there are much better avenues. As an example, try the MeidasTouch or The Bulwark on YouTube. Heck, use MS Now’s podcasts for more up to date coverage.
Cable news providers are out of touch with how people consume content and what they want emphasized. And for the baby boomers, who have adjusted to streaming, if they watch a major news provider they are most likely tuning in because of morning or primetime commentators. With news organizations like Ms Now becoming less relevant, how dense do you have to be to not provide timely videos of their shows in a subscription service?
People are simply not going to sign up when there are so many other ways available to consume news. MS Now cannot afford to make this kind of mistake if they expect to survive.
I sincerely hope they make this right quickly regardless of what type of service it addresses. This is non competitive in a world that has little patience for slow development.

Can’t sign into TV provider
I’m a Spectrum subscriber, but when I try to sign in for live TV, all I get is a black screen. Fix it! Ruins a great app.

Congrats on the new subscription service - I was excited to take advantage of the half off for a year promo. Looking forward to seeing the custom continue to grow - I’m loving the this recipe of bringing on amazing journalists for host duty as well (hello Jacqueline Alemeny!?!) Hopefully we’ll see an AppleTV app update soon that will include these great new items. Anyway. There’s my rant on day 1. Congrats again, and I wish you success!

Live Stream Fails
I bought this app in order to watch MS NOW live. The live stream fails constantly. Sometimes just the audio gives out, and sometimes both the picture and the audio gives out. I have to restart the application every few minutes. For me, this app is a fail.
Do Not Update!
Can no longer watch live programming since updating the app! This is a money grab. MS NOW is all about getting money from users. I updated the app and put in my TV provider info but now an error message displays every time I tried to watch live TV along with the push to pay to become a member. Really disappointing at a time like this MS NOW would be more about forcing app users to pay money to utilize all of the apps features instead of focusing all attention on the MS NOW stated mission.

Great job at destroying a good app., developers
The new app totally s@@ks! They destroyed all its usefulness. It now requires that I manually re-enter my provider info and password every single time I try to use the app (and when I have to let it time out.

Your update ruined the app - I wanted a quick news recap - not all the glitz you added.
New app is garbage
I disliked the old app because font sizes were not large enough and couldn’t be resized in the app. The new app feels disorganized and I will not pay for a membership. I already have to pay for a higher tier on my streaming service to be able to get the MSNow channel. Plus Joe and Mika are mostly guest drop ins on their own show and are gone more than they are on. Whoever dreamed up your membership idea was smoking too much hooch.

No longer my go to for live streaming
Are you still use this app every day multiple times a day for when I wanted to listen to live news unfortunately with the new updates that has become a paid service only and now I use CNN’s app which still provides the same coverage minus the pay wall that MSNow requires. Talk about relegating yourself to unimportance and removing yourself from the conversation. This is how you do it.

Can’t login thru TV app without TV Provider
I subscribed through your new membership because I recently cancelled my streaming TV service. Yes, I can send it from my phone to my TV, but logging in directly through the TV app without a TV provider really should have been ready prior to your membership going live.

Greed wins again
So, now you want money, email addresses and any other data you can get by forcing users to create an account. We have to sign up and pay for something that consistently gets worse with every iteration. Your help link says it’s possible to sign in with a TV provider, watch the live stream and avoid creating an account by using a browser. That’s a lie. You can only watch 10 mins of it then you’re still directed to create an account. I used to think that MSNBC/MS NOW was above money grabbing and paywall restrictions. Boy was I wrong. Surely you’ll lose viewers because of this. And it wouldn’t be surprising if your ratings took a hit too. Whoever’s dumb idea it was to jump on the subscription bandwagon should be pounding sand right now.

AppleTV app not updated
I purchased the MSNow subscription and it works fine on iPad and iPhone, however, currently you cannot log in to your account on the AppleTV app. To sign in, it will take you to the “service provider “ login. If you are a subscriber, and in my case, have no provider, I cannot log in. I am forced to AirPlay it over
